Proper napping music! Love the stem and cockpit on this bike. The frame is very lovely.

I have been dabbling in video editing and can guess that the amount of time it took you to film and edit the video took you substantially longer than the actual build itself. Such a cool production, very pro and captivating. Nice work.

Great bike and video as always but cutting the fork without measuring it and then adding a spacer to cover the extra 1mm above the stem doesn't make much sense I feel.
@ze_ep3 жыл бұрын
That's the right (well, safest) way to do it though. The steerer needs to clear the top edge of the stem and then you need a spacer so the top of it doesn't bottom out on the top cap.
@wowmats3 жыл бұрын
@@ze_ep really? I stand corrected then. Most bikes I’ve seen don’t need a top spacer. Makes for a cleaner look too in my opinion.
@ze_ep3 жыл бұрын
@@wowmats if the stem has enough material at the top to properly support the steerer, that can be fine. Often with lightweight stems there's barely a mm. On the other hand the top spacer can be very minimal, doesn't need to be 10mm like this one appears to be! Expander plug and top cap shape force a certain height though. Plug sits on top of steerer, some top caps are shaped like a v.. Requires a taller spacer so the parts don't connect when torqued up.

Pretty standard thing to do after cutting a steerer tube?
