TBH ... it looked more cozy, more ... human ... with the old bike tool wall. I'm happy for them of course, but ... this new make-over ... brings them and the workshop into the more modern, mainstream idea of a workshop... if you know what I mean. That rugged look, that ... self made bike tool wall ... was part of the charm.... that this isn't any normal workshop. This is just my opinion though.

This bike was really easy to assemble kzbin.infoUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

He makes it look like the guys building these bikes a cycling gurus when in reality they just have a lot more tools and resources than the rest of us. I’d be more impressed if the builders assembled a bike that was functional and durable, AND they used the same tools normal cyclists have.

Excellent workmanship...but every time I see the seatpost flexing under load I cringe...I'm only an amateur but when I assemble my bicycles from the ground up I always use a professional stand...hanging the frame from the top never looked a good idea to me, except for occasional maintenance

But it's a lot better than clamping the top tube, it's not meant for such a load. The seat tube can handle it and a seatpost that flex is meant to do so...

LBS Sales Technician here. It's totally fine to clamp a bike's seatpost on the workstand, except if it's an uber lightweight one like Darimo's (they advised not to clamp their seatposts on workstands) and if the bike's structure doesn't allow it in the first place (like the Trek Madone). I personally prefer clamp-style workstands. Nothing to remove to get it onto the workstand (except if the seatpost has some accessories or hardware), able to rotate 360° (working on a bike upside-down is rare though), this type gives me more flexibility.
