Curtis Mayfield. When he sings the first note you know it is him. That urban inner city great soulful sound. No one does it better than him. When you here Curtis you know what he's talking. The inner city blues.

Mayfield doesn't get enough credit for the icon he was in the Civil Rights movement. He was the bard of the era.
