The 80’s we had Stephanie, Chaka, Aretha, Anita, Whitney, Miki Howard, Angela Bofill, Phyllis Hyman, Karyn White, Vanessa Williams and many more. It’s amazing how a couple of background singers can give the feel of a full choir 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
This is singing, people! Stephanie Mills is a powerhouse.

NOBODY SINGS LIKE STEPHANIE.. NOT WHITNEY NOT MARIAH, NOBODY SINGS LIKE STEPHANIE.. Her vocals along with that feelin and conviction style she sings with that makes EVERY WORD she sings believable. The tone and sound of her voice.. She doesn't have to scream to get you to feel what she's singing about... Wow!! WHITNEY is outstanding, BUT NO SINGER DOES IT FOR ME. THE WAY STEPHANIE SONGS DO IT FOR ME.. AND NO ONE CAN SING STEPHANIE'S SONGS THE WAY SHE CAN.. but I've heard people do Whitney's songs just as good as she does but have yet to hear someone sing STEPHANIE'S songs better than her or even close.. Her voice is not easily duplicated...❤️🖤💚

Oh come on now Jay. You just killed.Amber's vibe when you paused. She was so into Stephanie's vocals.and delivery. I'm beyond happy b that you finally got around to this great one by Stephanie. Whenever possible though, do the live performances. Live from back in the day is just as good and sometimes even better than the recordings. These artists had to have talent; just their voices and a mic. Next Stephanie song to do is."Feel The Fire". Live version from Sinbad's Summer Jam outdoor concert. It wasn't a huge venue but Stephanie was definitely working the crowd. There was a mini concert with just 4 of her songs. You just did "I Feel Goid All Over" and "Home" . If you have some 'spare' time you should give yourselves s treat and watch the whole concert. She performs "Home" last and after she leaves the stage she gets called back out to do and encore.....so good!!!. I didn't get to see this when you aired it but so happy to see it tonight. Thank you, thank you.

As entertainers go, I can`t find a thing wrong with Her, She`s the complete package. Where does that big voice come from??? there is no room in that tiny body for it, and it`s a beautiful voice as well. She did an interview 35+ years ago on a show called Merril at Midnight and came across as the sweetest person you could hope for ( Do an interview with Her PLEASE!). The show was so funny as both women are less than 5` tall and Stephanie Mills spoke of a vacation to one of the Asian countries where She said She felt so comfortable because everyone was near Her height. And last thing to mention because it has nothing of importance to who a person is but still, we can appreciate is Her God given beauty, Good Lord for sure! Peace and brother love to you and all. The host of the show is Nancy Merril if you care to check Her out.
