Checking in on Classy

Two senior citizens travel with 2 shih tzu "fur kids" in "Classy", a 1991 Tioga Class C motorhome.
Filmed May 2, 2017.
I take a trip to the storage yard to check in on Classy. We had some recent storms and I wanted to make sure everything was still dry. On the way, I share a little flashback to when we first brought Classy into the "Gang".

Hi Janice! You should have seen this poor dirty little thing. The carpet and upholstery was so dirty it was crunchy. And the dirt and mildew all over the outside. There was actually moss growing in places. I'm glad you enjoyed seeing the transformation of our rolling home away from home. Thanks for watching. 🚍

Thanks for sharing Classy's beginnings!These older Tiogas seem to be real work horses for different vloggers I follow. Also thanks for sharing a little of your hometown. I had family who were early settlers of that area and it's nice to get a glimpse of the town. Take care!

Hi Brenda! I had noticed the popularity of Tiogas as well. In fact, Eric Jacobs' "Tilly" was a huge factor in our decision to look for one. Been watching with great interest just bought an 86 with this problem. I think you sent your weather to me here in PA I've been trying to work on my squirrel chewed wiring under the hood and it's been nothing but cold rain for days! I look forward to seeing you get "classy" all sealed up. There's something satisfying about saving these old girls!

I remember the day we picked up ol' Classy. It seems like only yesterday. We have had so many good times and made so many good memories with her. The weather is supposed to get better soon and we can get this project done. I can barely wait. Thanks for your interest and support.

The flooring was a lot better than the carpeting wasn't it. I had an 11 foot truck camper that was carpeted and when we changed it it was so much nicer and easier to clean but the best part was the mildewed smell was gone.

Allan, that carpet was awful. It was even crunchy in places from who knows what being spilled and ground in. The vinyl tile is so much easier to maintain. Thanks for watching.

We had freezing rain and snow last week here in Thunderbay Ontario Canada. We got about 4 inches of freezing rain the first night and then about 6 inches of snow over the next two days and now it's all gone again.

Geezer at the Wheel well I fell down the stairs because the landlord took the shovel away but I'm starting to be able to move around better now. To be fair to the landlord the snow has been gone for three weeks and no one expected snow or freezing rain. I hope classy get finished soon so you guys can get back out on the road. I'm saving right now to be able to go camping all summer and just have to find someone to bring me my dad and my dog Odin out somewhere and then come and get us once a week to restock our supplies. Once I get my truck back on the road and find a good trailer or camper it will be better but that's for next year.

Howdy Geez, Another fine video. Just thankful you didn't take out the guy in the crosswalk...lol It was 103 degrees when I got in my car this evening. Good place to be working on a RV.... NO RAIN ! Hi John! Lucy and I are quite well thank you. The rain just won't let up here either. Our rivers are all in flood state with no end in sight. I hope you're fairing ok. I've been busy with preparations for reassembly on ol' Classy. If we can get 2 or 3 decent days in a row, we should be able to get the job done. Time will tell. Thanks for stopping by! We're hoping to take a short (250 mile) trip towards the end of May. We'll see how it goes. There are a couple of other issues we need to address before we can get back on the road. Thanks for your interest.

Geezer at the Wheel well that's ok at least you'll get out for a short trip. I would love to be able to do that this year but the farthest I think I'll get is about 70 miles to the lake that I go camping at with either my tent or when I had my camper I would go out every weekend starting in May and ending when my daughter went back to school.

Hi Blaine! LOL The fact is that I only use the top one when I'm on camera. My plates have never fit right and I can't stand them. My dentist says there's nothing wrong with them and my insurance company isn't of any help either. I have 3 more years before I qualify for another set. But when I had my naturals pulled is when I got the nickname "Geezer" and that's worked out pretty well for me. With my big toothless grin and suspenders it fits quite well and I'm ok with it. :) Thanks for watching!

Stephen, I have thought about implants. However, my insurance will not cover them at this time. I will no doubt ask again when I qualify for new plates. Thanks for the suggestion tho. :)
