Quelli da 1mm servirebbero 2 scatole almeno poi bisogna mettere quelli da 1mm sulla ram e quelli da 0.5mm sul dissipatore.

Warning!!!!! GPU Vram side is 0.75MM not 1MM, wrong info i used 1MM GPU is not making contact with the heatsink, also contacted Palit customer support and they replied with 0.75MM, backplate side is 1MM.

I have been searching around for 0.75mm pads and have never been able to find or order them where I live. If the GPU is unable to make contact with heatsink plate, could I not add more paste in between?

@@kamranki never use thermal paste on VRAMS. Use thermal putty. Upsiren u6 pro is high performing. You will kill your Card if you use thermal paste. (you would need copper shims still don't use paste it kills vrams)

Just done my one,and can confirm - 1mm on both sides were used oddysey extreme ones.Temp of memory from 108c dropped down to 96c on furmark 30min benchmark

The gpu hotspot temps have gotten ridiculously high with my gamerock 3080 Ti lately, so it's probably time for a re-pasting operation. Never taken apart a gpu before, so I'm a bit scared but hope it goes well

Io sono arrivato al punto che devo farlo sulla mia rtx 3090 ti gamerock perche ha le temperature che alle volte vanno sui 85° e 88° e spero che con i thermal pad nuovi fatti meglio si risolva il problema.

I put the 3090 card after proper packing in plastic and put it in refrigerator for 1 hour and it returned working properly without any problem like new no vram temperature heatup.

Thanks for the video! I am about to start working on replacing the thermal pads on various Geforce RTX 3090 of different brands: MSI, Asus, Palit, Gigabyte... I would like to make sure that the thickness of the pads will be right for those cards, considering that they come from different brands. I read online that (1,5mm) is good enough for both sides of the card. What do you recommend? Thank you!

All brands use pads of different thickness so make sure you do your search for info properly. I have done replacements for many brands myself and if you need any help just reach me out on gmail.

Grazie per il video! Per curiosità, perché la pasta termica verde non è stata cambiata? 0,5 e 1mm di spessore erano sufficienti? In termini di prestazioni si potrebbe testare dopo? Quanto è il guadagno di temperatura?

Ciao, la pasta verde è di un spessore maggiore, ora non saprei dirti, comunque lo scopo principale era migliorare le temperature delle vram, la scheda in questione era già molto buona per le temperature, con i pad ho migliorato ma non di tantissimo, in media un 5/7°C in meno, per le temperature ho solo test fatti in mining, mantenendo temperature tra i 85 e i 90°C

Il problema maggiore delle 3090 è che hanno le vram anche sul retro del pcb e la backplate non raffredda attivamente, posizionando un heatsink sul retro con una ventola sopra riesco a mantenere senza problemi temperature tra i 75 e i 80°C sulle vram
