From an advanced track rider here, on the longer sweepers that does'nt call for much lean angle on the bike, he would be faster if he just sat still on the bike and just twist his hips into the corner so that he can lean to the inside with his head, shoulders and chest. At the same time pushing the bike away from him focusing to have as little lean as possible, while his upper body offsets the center point of gravity further so he can have as much traction as possible available to use. Also keep the ball of your foot (the hard thing behind your big toe) on the pegs, hanging your toes out like that is not needed. Also a thing I see he you and many others that I've instructed is that they have firm forearms and keep it tucked close to the body. This is very typical and it restricts how far you can offset your upper body to the inside of the bike to move the center of gravity point while cornering. In the beginning try to really be mindful of how stiff your forearms are while you lean, and then next corners focus on poiting your elbow to the inside and forward of the turn you are taking while gripping the inside handle with a screwdriver grip. Slowly you can start to point your elbow more down and forward than just to the inside of the corner. You will quickly realize how much lower and further inside you can get your body mass, thus moving the center of gravity further inside which will demand less of the bikes total amount of grip, making you eventually learn to go faster while being safer. I see it so often people love to move their butt and knees while their upper body is stiff and is perpendicular to the bike, which just increases risk the faster you go.... :D We all gotta learn to be loose and commit with our whole body sooner or later if you wanna go faster.

I have the RS. Swapping to a 180/60 rear has given me more rear tire crown making bidirectional transitions so much smoother and almost 15% more side of the tire surface. Running SuperCorsa SP V4 currently.

Something about the sound of a three or four cylinder bike that a twin can not replicate. Rode both Gixxer 600s and 750s at speed and never really got the S1000RR there yet. But hands down my fave is my little ZX4RR singing its song at 15000 rpm.

Sometimes you see people getting off highway exits putting knee's down at like 10 degrees of lean, lol. In their heads, they're riding in MotoGP, I think.

You have no clue its the opposite .. to decrease the lean angle off the bike .. of course a too small lean angle is worthless but you dont have to lean the bike too far .. the corner speed comes from the bodymass leaning

I've been learning a lot about how it's more so where your torso and head are, that's more important. I think people get caught up on either watching racing or watching the marketing on bikes that they believe they need to mimic it.

They're really not up there too much, these roads it's pretty much known there are moto riders up there pounding it out. In reality it's lower risk than the squid vloggers who only do highway pulls - in traffic - on the hottest $30k+ bike.

@@gopherchucksgamingnstuff2263 it also gets me the way they "customize" their bikes, yet they put the same exact mods on..."more carbon! everywhere cuz that'll mean I'm lighter yay!"...same clutch covers, same Rizoma mirrors, etc etc. People even comment here and bag on these guys who literally ride the bikes like you're supposed to.
