Nascar should really consider bringing back tandem racing to the plate tracks. I mean these races are okay but still I miss the record number of lead changes and the equalizer effect of tandem drafting which allowed smaller teams to be up front.

They have bump draft and tandem(they can only do maximum of 2 laps because of overheating) Still works, like 2019 when Clint bowyer tandemmed with Joey Logano 100 Car lengths upfront

Ok im gonna try to clear this up. Since there is no practice or qualifying there is a competition caution to allow drivers to make adjustments to their cars. Qualifying is based on points. During a season before the pandemic there would generally not be a competition caution, unless practice/qualifying was rained out. Hope that clears it up
