The device hasn't a Ticker or a flickering LED for every single pulse? 3:07 RateRatio for calibrating: In the German forum someone wrote that setting this value to 50% or 150% has no effect. Can you please try that, maybe with 90% or 110% or something? Thank you.

Late reply, but i believe yes (mine bosean fs-600 will be delivered within a week), you need to put on your headphones and closely listen to the sound and you’ll hear clicking in the video, which I’m 99% sure is the particle sound. I do believe it unfortunately may be slow, like every one third of a second maximum clicks

You will significantly increase the sensitivity of the dosimeter, but this may adversely affect its calibration

Yes you will mess the calibration this 60£ toy may or may not have. But if you trying to do any precise measurements with it. I think you are doomed from the beginning. This is more of a uuuh - hot should I be worried? and nothing - boring type of device. If you are building reactor you need much more expensive toys...

I got this to measure a radioactive pocket watch. It went up to 1.81 uSv. What does it mean?

It means it's slightly radioactive but not terribly so

You're fine around that watch. Most likely radioactive paint for glow in the dark. The only real danger - if that paint starts chipping off and gets out of clock and someone breathes that in. THAT would be dangerous.

Mam pytanie, w mierniku zakodowane wartości alarmowe dawki chwilowej i przyjętej 2,50uSv/h i 1,50uSv z czego wynikają? Normy? Dawki? Dzienna z promieniowania naturalnego wynosi 7-10uSv. Roczna około 3500uSv. Pozdrawiam.

​@@cezarypluskwa4183tak, ale można je ustawić względem swoich wymagań, np jeśli chcemy alarm przy znacznie mniejszy skoku promieniowania, nie ma problemu przestawić na niższą wartość :) pojawiła się nowa wersja FS-600s z otworami względem licznika GM

I have found that the device will NEVER show readings below 0.12 µSv/h - always equal to or greater than 0.12. Not even if no geiger counter tube is installed. That's a software issue and turns the reasonable-looking device into absolute junk. There is a place for a LED with a series resistor on the board (under the transparent hole above the display), but it is not fitted in. Somebody works on an alternative Firmware for the FS-600 (search for Gissio RadPRO), perhaps this solves the issues.

@@nn5n tak, ale też może na precyzji cierpieć wtedy. NR-850 itp są bardzo udane i szczerze polecam, sam kupiłem jeszcze 1050 i on jest najczulszy, chociaż ogólnie wszystkie mają całkiem niezłą czułość i bez problemów reagują nawet na ekstremalnie wysokie dawki promieniowania typu 5 mSv/h :)

@@wolfrikgreen the unit i have tested have a huge delay in reacting. Like maybe 10 seconds. BR-6 is MUCH better

@@encodersofia ahhh I noticed the same it is slow to respond. So its hard for me to detect contaminated areas when I was inadvertently opening radioactive dials on clocks before i knew. So I left it on the spot for like 5 minutes to make sure and it stays the same But thank you for letting me know
