geiko musicians who decide to focus on the singing and music, rather than dance are becoming rare. oftentimes they can't book a performer with this skillset bc they are so few and already at another venue so its common for the songs to be played from a cd. so this is a real treat. and Miehina is a basically a singing legend in Kyoto now and still living there.
