A day of joy when you posted again! While so many only splash around with gel plates, your brain is an idea factory. Admirable craftmanship blended in and it is all WOW effects. Thank you so much!

You really are freakishly good at this. I stick to my suggestion that you should be @Gelliplate their ambassador. You are way too good and 1 of the very few who creates Art and not crafts. Both are cool but you are just on a different level. Much respect to you for your eternal Quest for artistic adventure and your amazing skills at drawing and creating. Hugs.

I was literally overjoyed to see this video pop up in my youtube feed today. For one thing, my current project is a still life chair/ table/ painting/ window scene (as I commented previously), & I've wanted to explore composition possibilities, needing many copies. So this is PERFECT. Plus, you are an awesome art teacher. I'd hate the gel plate if it weren't for your awesome use of it. Thanks for the great videos. Blessings. Peace. Love wins

As always a welcome addition to the many gel plate techniques Mark has introduced to us.If you want to pull multiple prints you might try using a Lino plate but cut for intaglio printing.

Interesting use of matte board. If you wet it in certain places you could get more organic tearing of the top layer. Just a suggestion. Great video

Brill. Thanks Mark. I have loads of mount board I have no idea what to do with so might give this a go! ❤

Cool, it's very versatile with gel plate. You can go quite graphic and flat tone / colour or you try and create more 3D elements as I've done in this vid.

Just varnish the board for longer durability. But I know you like it's limitations. I love collographing on the plate Gloss medium or shellac is best. Great demo as always. Bx

love it thank you. I was wondering you don't seem to put your brayer in water just after using it. Doesn't the acrylic dry quickly on it ? and then how do you clean it?
@triciabennetts65782 күн бұрын
Theses are great and great technique! Thankyou for sharing 😊 Would a layer of shellac on the mount board design prolong its life span? But I guess that would result in less random/organic marks and result in a different more polished look 🤔

Thank you! Do you sleep at night? You come up with the most unique techniques! I have a question about the mount board you use. It has a foam (polystyrene) core? Somewhere I read that it can come with a cotton core. Do you recommend a particular thickness? We appreciate how generous you are with sharing your breakthroughs.
@yeatesmakes2 күн бұрын
its got a paper pulp core - i think its called matte board in some parts of the world. the stuff you cut a bevelled window from to place over pictures when framing
