You do an unbelievably accurate job of "estimating" as you call it. Amazing!!

Scottie, thanks for such wonderful demonstration! I calculated the time from the moment when you start to draw the first guy , you know what ? Your time is 1:42.15 . That means you completed this drawing in less than 2 minutes! Amazing! I just want to learn quick sketch , your lecture boost my confidence in learning such skill. I have seen such simple sketches before , but they are all the completed drawings without the demonstration. Thanks again for your hard work !

Great tips for those who fear putting people in their sketches! You explain the process and your thinking so clearly.

That was great, Scottie. As you said, one of the most important things is just keep practicing, keep drawing.

I was pretty good on all of them. My struggles were sketching the bike and getting the head tilted the right way on the last guy on the phone. Practice, practice practice. I sketch fast. This one was a challenge because we are sketching looser and faster. Thanks again, Scottie.

good work👍🏼 yes sometimes the faster we sketch the looser the lines become.

You are really good at sketching and have a special brain capacity to simplify shapes, of course this did not come as a work of magic, it is obvious you have put a lot of effort and hard work to get where you are standing now. Thank you for sharing your skills and technique!

Your videos have really helped me! I related to the “woh! It’s terrible” it’s my whole vibe while I draw but I end up liking the final product as I keep improving.

Really been struggling with gesture drawings, I get too caught up in being accurate and detailed. Your loose sketch style is such a great middle stage that allows for some detail while still quickly estimating shapes and form. Thanks for making watercolor and figure drawing more accessible, Scottie!
