Oops, forgot to say thank YOU for this first video too. My memory is getting worse by the day, lol. Excellent introduction & if I had room, I'd be unpacking gelli plate right now. Alas, will have to save till I've moved.... Again, inspirational! Caroline😺

Hi, im Tibby, also a UKer. Stumbled across your videos and have now watched both and enjoyed them. Love the colour combos you used too. In your first pulls, i saw what looked like loosely styled roses! So so pretty. Loved the other sheets too. I have subbed you even though you have no videos listed, but hope you do some of your own as i like your style of play. XTibbyX

I loveeeeeeee this! What paper did you use in these prints?

I love this idea! When I tried using my gel press with acrylic paint only, the surface of the plate became damaged when I lifted the paper after brayering, it was a huge bummer...this more liquidy approach looks safer!

That should never happen. Send us an email with pictures please!

Very beautiful backgrounds!!! Love them!! Thank you for sharing with us!!! A question, please! What weight of paper did you use?

Love the watercolour backgrounds, great idea to do the layers separately. Can I ask is there a reason you stencilled onto the gelli plate and not directly onto the background ? Xx

I'd hazard a guess and say that it gives a more printed look but I could be wrong :D

Please be sure to use barrier cream or gloves if you are going to use your fingers to apply acrylic paints.

In part two an you tell us how you made the bee? I loved these two videos thank you
@thekathrynwheel6 жыл бұрын
The bee is a stamp by Stampotique Originals. I just stamped it onto coloured card and cut it out.

Love your backgrounds, Kate! Could you tell me the name of the stencil with the circles and flowers along the edges? Thank you!
@TheKazadoodle6 жыл бұрын
It's a stencil by Dyan, part of her Dylusions range. I'm not sure of the name but I recognised the distinctive style.

Beautiful. Thank You. Bye bye.

can this be done with regular paper or is it best doing it on watercolor?
@GelPress3 жыл бұрын
For this specific technique, watercolor will work best because you are using so much water. Watercolor paper can absorb the water and hold up whereas other papers might resist the water and/or tear apart.

Kathryn Crane I always buy any stencil I've seen you use in your videos or blog, cause I love how you use them. I can't find that bottle cap one you mentioned. I searched the TCW website & google but no luck yet. I'll check out Stencil girl & Artist cellar. Thanks for responding. Tere
