Thank you so much, happy hunting for gorgeous glass! One tip, feel the bottom of the glass to ensure it is flat and will leave a great impression!

Stephanie, thank you, I know, I'm looking for more pieces like that as well, just be sure you don't mind getting paint on it. I find most of it comes off after soaking in alcohol and brushing, but I wouldn't use a treasured item...that said, have fun!

@@VikkiReed I have a stash of junk jewelry bits & bobs that want using, so nothing valuable! I'll try your tip with alcohol - I use that to clean a large tile I use for glueing and painting on, and it works quickly.

Hi Vikki. I was wondering how the magazine photos work--thank you! For the heavy body acrylic, do you think it's possible to do that for the first coat of paint and then use a fluid body paint after that? Or does heavy body paint need to be used for all the layers?
@VikkiReed
@VikkiReed Жыл бұрын
Lori, that is a great question, I haven't tried to use fluid acrylic over the initial heavy body base, but I will and report back! Stay tuned!

This is an amazing tool, it is actually a Duplo, not a Lego, the Duplo are made for smaller children (and hands) the Legos are smaller pieces with smaller circles. I had them on hand because I purchased Duplo sets for my granddaughters! I return to my favorites over and over again, two glass pieces, the Duplo, the silicone trivet patterned in honeycomb, and now the jewelry piece, so fun!

@@VikkiReed that description made me laugh, I remember coming home with my 18 month son and looking through the window to find my 18 year old son building his brothers duplo you are never too old lol. I had one son in the 70’s one in the 80’s and last one in the 90’s my treasures everyone. As usual thank you Vicki xxx

Was that a copy of a photo or the actual photo you used? PS…..those both are very cool. Love them. TYFS
@VikkiReed
@VikkiReed Жыл бұрын
Great question Denorah! It was the actual image from a magazine. To use photos, or photocopies, you must have a laser printer instead of and inkjet (at least this is my current understanding). High contrast black and white images seem to work the best!
