I'm in my dear friend Tessa's incredible art studio, using her supplies and Gelli printing. Many of you who are members of my Studio School and are on Patreon, ask me about substitute paints suggestions for the ones I use in the States that you all can't easily find in your countries. So here's your video with some suggestions, on which ones I liked and how suited they are for Gelli printing.

I just want to say: I'm new to Robyn's work and to Patreon and I am literally blown away (my age is showing in that expression!) by (1) the You Tube videos, (2) Robyn's art and generosity as a teacher, and (3) all the new things I have discovered on Patreon and Art Mythos this week! I have spent the entire weekend watching and being inspired and walking into my kitchen (this dang Texas flu notwithstanding) to try a little minute of this or that. Thank you for the heads up on I Love Art acrylics! We can get it online from a company called GreatArt here in Britain, and it's very inexpensive, so perfect for gelli printing! 😊 And I can get Ara online from my favourite online supplier, Jackson's! You are so great in sharing your experiences, particularly on which brands to buy! It saves wasting a lot of money buying and trying!

Diane that was my goal, to help all of my European followers sort through the paint selections to achieve the same results with the Gelli plate that I do here in the States with the paints available to me. Too bad the I Love Art paints are not available here! 😒 Have to try the pamphlet. Never understood exactly why folding the paper can make a large sheet with lots of elements look better: It "changes the focal point". Seems obvious now, but couldn't put my finger on it. Love the surprises that show up when doing that!

I know I want those paints myself, it's just hard to travel with large volumes of liquids so I can't bring them home either :(. Looks like wallpaper. It is beautiful.

It's probably angorlipta... not sure of the spelling. It comes in a lot of patterns. Made for painting after it is applied.

@@RobynMcClendon Now that I'm out of the tub... anaglypta. I sent for samples years ago and got a 9x13" enveloped of them. Plus, I found a roll similar to what you are using back when home improvement places actually stocked wallpaper. It was relatively inexpensive back then - because you had to hang and paint it. I bought it for the texture, of course! LOL!
