Beautifully done. I keep a $1 store kitty litter pan with water and a splash of Murphy's oil soap. I toss stamps, brayers stencils in for easy clean up later. Even the next day!

Thank you Kathleen. I really enjoyed it. Didn't even mind the wait between layers but I would have been bitterly disappointed if it hadn't have worked! Thanks for watching 💗

A soft rubber brayer spreads paint better than hard rubber and paint actually goes farther! Speedball brayer are definitely worth the $3 or $4 extra. And you’ll be amazed by how much better your prints look.

I really really love ❤️ those cards especially the one that you can see the light behind it. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags

Never seen this done before. Great tutorial, Steph, though not sure I have the patience at the moment. X
@woollysteph3 жыл бұрын
Well I can be very impatient sometimes but this was a good exercise. If you can set your plate up somewhere where it's not in the way, you can keep popping back to it for a layer. Best not to have it sat in front of you stopping you from doing other things. Thanks for watching 💗

Yes it was a fun technique. It did require patience but it was easy enough to go off and do something else between layers. Thanks for watching 💗
@JennyLaneCreates19763 жыл бұрын
Omg! This is beautiful but I don’t think I will the patience in literally watching the paint dry..😂. Truly inspiring! Thanks for sharing my lovely..x

It's not so bad if you set it up and can leave it and come back to it periodically. It didn't take that long to do. I'd have been disappointed if it hadn't have worked though! Thanks for watching 💗
@Pooky-Cat3 жыл бұрын
Hi Steph, I saw Patti Tolley Parrish do this some time ago, before I bought my Gelli plate and had forgotten all about it. Thank you for reminding me about the technique and also explaining it so clearly. You achieved great results.
@woollysteph3 жыл бұрын
I couldn't remember where I'd seen this. I knew it was several years ago. I wasn't sure I'd remember how to do it properly either. I'd have been very disappointed if if didn't work after all the layers and waiting lol. Thanks for watching 💗

How wonderful! That technique of masking and stamping. I dit some with packing tape for the first time yesterday when I was in a zoom meeting with other crafty people and it went reasonably good. Have to try masking today😍👍🙏

i loved the tutorial! suggestion for the stained glass effect where you said covering the back to "finish" would impede that effect, you could use Duralar sheets that are clear.
@woollysteph3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestion. I'd not heard about Duralar but it looks like it's not something that is easily come by in the UK. But I'm sure acetate would work too. I'd forgotten about making this ...I think I'll have another go some time. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. Have a great weekend 💗

@@woollysteph very similar to acetate or Mylar. pretty much all work the same

These turned out fantastic 🤩love the packing tape 😎 Just a suggestion: instead of linking to their channels- why not link to the specific videos related to this collaboration? I was going spend the next little while watching everyone’s gelli print ideas- not going to search each of their channels collections looking for them 😏

Those tapes are beautiful,Steph! Patience of a Saint! I have kinda done this before but just used tape to pull all the cruddy bits off the plate and then added eyeshadow. I don’t think I’d have the patience to do what you’ve done. The cards are gorgeous! I’d never have thought to do that! Tfs. Hugs,Dee xxx 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰

I think this technique would be a good one for me to learn some patience when drying my layers, I think sometimes I am too quick. They all look so cool, and the finished cards are lovely. I need to order some clear packing tape, I don't think it would turn out well on the brown tape! 😂 Thanks for sharing such a great technique. x
@woollysteph3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you definitely need to exercise some patience. It's best if you can leave your gel plate set up somewhere where you can keep popping back to it but where it isn't sat stopping you from doing other things (there speaks the voice of experience-I drank lots of tea that day lol). Hope you have fun playing. Thanks for watching 💗

For everyone out there who has never done this kind of technique, BE VERY MUCH AWARE!! this is not as easy as the videos make it look. I wasted a lot of money and time and was not successful. If anything almost traumatized me and made me feel so incompetent. I am renowned for not giving up and have done complicated art to a good standard. In any case all the best of luck.
