I just started making transfers and this technique really elevates the process. Thanks 💕❤️💕 I wonder if there’s a way to leave the background in the background. Have you tried that yet?

Hi Lynn! Yes, I agree; there definitely is something to say for the spooky prints too! I’ve been thinking about your question about leaving the background. Do you mean placing the focal point in a different environment (without the double-exposure effect)? The answer is yes, with a mask. You’d need to transfer the focal point first, mask that and then pull the background transfer.

Hi Victoria! Make one or two laser prints first to test if it works with the settings they have. I have to run my laser prints through the printer at least twice for it built up enough toner.

Amazing!! I just discovered gel print art. Seems a technique with a lot of possibilities! What I can't wonder is how sometimes, when you pull the paper off the gel, all the paint goes with it or certain part stays in the plate. I mean, the intermediate steps until the final design.

Hi! Not long. For me it’s usually less than three minutes. It varies depending on the climate in the room you’re working in, if you have a window open or if you have a fan running etc. If you can’t tell if it’s dry by looking at the paint, you can carefully check with a finger.

Are some magazines better than others

Hi Deborah! Yes and no… It’s not the magazine that’s better; it’s the ink that the printer used to print the magazine. You can’t tell from looking at it, so you sometimes have to try to see how it goes. For most people, high-fashion glossies work well, but they’re not the only ones that work. I try everything from brochures, the free magazines they give you at stores, to book pages. It’s hard to tell you exactly which ones work because I’m in the Netherlands, and I do not have access to the exact same magazines you do. And even if we have the same title, printers in different countries and continents might use other inks to print. Good luck!!!

Hi Christopher, You posted this comment a while ago; however, I have two things you can try: 1. Make sure you’re not pressing the image on the plate. Only touch it very lightly. 2. Lift it up immediately. I know this sounds counter-intuitive, but give it a go and see if it makes a difference!

It’d be awesome if the video editor wd make the title text a bit larger and not white on a (usually) white background. Especially when ya’ll never talk/say the instructions. Most viewers watch on a phone (per YT stats) - small white print on a usually white background on a small screen is a giant pain.
