I love watching you work, especially the layering and the integration process. This is a lot of work for you to prepare these videos, and I want you to know how appreciative I am of your effort and how much I have learned that I apply to my artwork.

I’m watching this video for the third time and I have backspaced several times to hear you get a catch in your throat that you’ve been selfish. I don’t know who has told you that but I found you a couple of weeks ago and can see that you’re busy, you’re talented, you’re a lot of fun, you do all these wonderful videos on KZbin.- Whoever said that to you is toxic and doesn’t need to be in your life. Thanks for all you do

If you have a cheap canvas that buckles at the corners there is an easy remedy for that. Just use a broad paintbrush to brush water onto the back of the canvas until it's fairly damp, especially in those buckled corners, then use a blow dryer to dry the canvas, and the fabric will become taut.

Great video! Thank you so much, Robyn. I'm learning so much from you. I've been playing with ink and intuitive scripting. Just started incorporating some of that into my collages and mixed media pieces on canvas. Loved watching you work in one whole Gelli print here to a canvas. Can't wait to try this! Keep up the beautiful work and great vibe. ✨

kind Robyn, edges can be achieved by lightly wetting were you wish to tare the onion skin, oriental papers work well with this technique, Take a small shamy thick, dampen it and lay it quickly on the edge you wish to tare

Your canvas is not well stretched , Rub the back side with a hot square sponge .it will shrink and be Be perfect . I do that to my canvas before painting .it’s also good when we make a bump or a mark somewhere .It’s magic

Love this piece! How will you deal with the loose Canvas? Will it tighten up?
@conversationswithgaia8206
@conversationswithgaia8206 7 жыл бұрын
Yes it was a cheap canvas I didn't see how loose it was until after taking the plastic off😩 you know it still cost decent money, they don't make things like they use too!!!! But to answer your question fortunately I use a lot of paint and the moisture did draw the canvas in😊

@RobynMcClendon
@RobynMcClendon 4 жыл бұрын
LOL...Actually I work on my raw cotton/linen canvas which I gesso then I hang on the wall to paint, I stretch them afterwards. My style is to teach to the median, here on KZbin where my followers are experimenting with new techniques, it's a shame to not try something new because it's shown with expensive canvases and paints. My goal is to demonstrateI how to create lovely pieces using medium to low cost supplies, naturally you'll win with purchasing more expensive supplies. I believe I talked about this in the video, regarding encouraging the use of inexpensive canvases for practice. I have a Studio School for my Master Classes and deeper dives into techniques..take care :)
