I have 2 gel plates (not really sure how I ended up with 2) that I have never used. I just can't wait to pull them out tomorrow and try this. I will spend the rest of the night going thru magazines and tearing out pictures, etc

I have tried the technique shown for image transfer and all my images do is pull up all the paint without leaving an image. Suggestions?

Do you have certain magazines you use most often for your prints? Never seen it done with white as a base.

Hello Laurie, your work is fabulous, I love it. I tried to copy it but I think I am doing something wrong, as I don't get the images transferred. Do you prepare the papers with some material before transferring? Sorry if I am asking something you comment in the video, I don't understand all 100%. Thank you!
@lauriewilliams78933 жыл бұрын
No. I do not coat them. The trick with the magazine transfers is a glossy page, high contrasting images/text AND a thin layer of dark color acrylic paint. Dont press the image too much as this will cause a complete pull-up. You want just enough contact for the paint to resist the magazine print. I hope this helps!

Never put your brayer down with the roller on the paper. There are little feet or an edge on the other side to prevent the paper from sticking to it.

Good tip. And I know that...the hard way, actually! LOL! I just set them down for a second when grabbing something. Honestly, I get so excited step by step that I forget.
