Great video I’m a little disappointed the great orme wasn’t mentioned the famous Welsh mine the uk’s first before Cornwall on an industrial scale, the uk’s very first deposits of such materials including the royal Welsh gold was discovered, in Dolgellau in clogai mine is situated in Coed-y-Brenin forest, near Dolgellau in North Wales. This deposit, containing 200 Mt grading 0.3% Cu, with trace gold, lies within the Snowdonia National Park and proposals to mine it in the early 1970s although discovered previously!

My mates Dad was putting the M6 in up Cumbria with a digger, he showed me as a young lad what was the cleanest most perfect set of quartz crystals about 6x4 inches, totally clear shoulder to shoulder cluster, but what the smashed up/left behind was a pocket of this about as big as your dinning table.....Think its a bastard diamond cluster, the stuff was flawless.

Iv enjoyed this, thank you. Please folks listen to what the lady says about hacking into cliffs. Please also stay a good distance away, People have died and been seriously injured. I live on the Jurassic coast 10 mile north from Whitby, you can find just as much on the beach.

My dad collects jet from Kingsbarns Scotland at the beach. He turned it into a necklace that I am wearing today

I find Jet in South Oxfordshire, keep finding these stones in semi dense deposits, and never knew what they are untill now so thank you ! Often wondered why the pieces were like rounded off cubes and toblerone shapes.

Fantastic video, as a UK amateur gem cutter it would be very useful to have a list of permissible hunting areas for potential rough. Can you recommend anything, or do you have a list of areas you have collected over time. I am based in The West Country, Portishead. However very willing to explore.

Do you know anything about `Bristol Diamonds`? There is a churchyard in Somerset that is full of creamy white crystals encased in red rock.. 🕊️🤍🌸
