Thanks for another great video. If i was to put kite type cuts into gemcad would a design pop up. I haven't got a pc at the moment as we're travelling but do have a laptop at home. Thanks again for your time and effort.

@@evgenyk.4681 Yes, there is no good way to organize videos in KZbin...that I know of. I can't put all the information on how to cut a gemstone in each and every video...they would be very long and take a long time for me to create them, so I put some information in each video...but again, there is no way to list which videos contain which information....if you know of a good, and easy, way to organize videos, please let me know! 🙂

What's the smallest grit you use? I do larger prices of jewelry and usually go 180 grit all the way down to whatever final polish, are you starting at 1000 grit??

The smallest grit (roughest) that I use is in the 100's. I use toppers at this grit, so whatever is available when I buy a new topper...120, 140, 160...whatever is in the100 grit range. I used to use a 60 grit and I own a 60 grit solid steel Crystalite lap, but I DO NOT use it and do not recommend anyone buy it...it is too rough and causes damage to the interior of the stone. The grit I start with depends on the type of material, size and shape. Sometimes I may start w/600 grit...but if the material is hard, like sapphire (corundum) and large, I may start with a 100 series topper.
