Love the content boys! I recently adopted a godly ancient moonstone dragon as the matriarch for a PCs circle of the moon Druid. She can only be contacted via a costly ritual performed during an annual lunar eclipse event. The dragon resides on a more astral plane and acts as a sort of “moon goddess” in my campaign. She uses her influence over this Druid circle to get things done on the material plane. So far my pc has contacted her once and was given a minor reward and told to eliminate a particular chromatic dragon, as it had become a threat to the Druid circle.

I'm cackling like a witch at the expression on Will's face at 17:30,where he's staring at the ceiling and rapidly changing mental gears in order to figure out how to explain who Fizban is.

Sapphire Dragons breathe the guitar solo from Through the Fire and The Flames
Thanks for this! Now, we just need to finish the second year of the dragons and do a deep dive on some old past edition dragons you have not covered yet… especially those that fall under the heading of Ferrous Dragons!

What if the obsidian dragons mastered their dragon sight and transcended to become part of Sardior (devoured). Maybe the few who remain wanted independence or where too flawed and evil to rejoin

Sapphire dragons sound like they would like to have hobgoblins as their vassals.

20:22 In 3E, any dragon that could cast spells, either inherently or through items, may use the _Fly_ spell to improve their mobility and allow them to hover in the air. This was mentioned explicitly in _Draconomicon_ IIRC.

I thought there were only regular and metallic dragons but then I learned about gem dragons... on the forgotten realms wiki. Pretty cool things though.

Time to write up a quest to follow a crystal dragon for its hoard, only for the players to find the real treasure was the friends they (the dragon) made along the way. Some of their friends had been taken from a brass dragon's hoard. Life as part of a dragon hoard is all they know anymore.

I like the idea of a Gazer but Spectators also have 4 eye stalks and are lawful neutral so they are often forgotten and not used very much.

I have liked and commented! I continue to serve the shimmering dungeoncast! And praise be to you oh lords of knowledge and laughter, for this is the day I have loooooong awaited! The coming of the gem dragons has finally been heralded, and soon I shall have all the knowledge on these fantastical creatures! I'm not sure I ever knew about Crystal dragons. I quite like them. Also I think I prefer the pre 5e sardior.

Abeir-Tor is a sphere planet was not at first maybe, but its not Earth or Krynn. Im so glad they FINALLY somewhat included ORANGE and PURPLE Topaz and Amethyst dragons. Even though I would prefer a + 5 additions of true dragons to each family of Chromatics, Metallic and Gem. Orange sodium chloride jungle dragons and Purple energy undercround neighbours of deep dragons would be great. And well. Yellow salt coastal dragons. Though Gold can step in as the " yellow " dragons for now..HOWEVER I wish it would be more cohesive so the seemingly most valuable Gem dragon would be their leader/ deity aka Sardior. Sardior should be Diamond and swap Crystal with Ruby. Crystal should still exist but outside main 5 alongside yellow Opal, black obdidian and the other orange Jacinth and other green Jade gem dragons.

I'm skipping around and catching up on episodes as they interest me, and it is noticeable in some episodes that Will seems bored as he is just reading written material at Brian, and in other episodes it seems more conversational, with Will only occasionally referring to notes. Not sure if it changes based on mood, or this something that was pointed out and Will addressed, but I think the conversational episodes are my preference- I like when it seems like a well-educated DM is sitting down with a friend who is new to the game and its lore, and DM breaking it down for him, with the new player chiming in with jokes and comparisons to things he knows. Again, Will always seems well-informed, and has a good sense of humor, while Brian seems to be quicker to make jokes, and is really good about drawing comparisons to other books/games/TV shows/movies; that is a really good formula, especially when it doesn't seem scripted and like you guys are reading it, but are instead more off-the-cuff with it. Now that I think of it, maybe it was just a function of time, and getting more comfortable, where you now have just a rough outline rather than a full script. Whatever the reason, I will say this episode so far has been one where it seemed like Will was maybe bored, and was reading AT Brian, rather than having a conversation. Just something I noticed, which made me realize that I had a preference, so I thought I'd share the info. My players did something similar when I first started DMing, saying that I needed to work on breaking up descriptions, making eye contact, and generally being more conversational, rather monotonously rushing through pages of content that I seem bored with- so I know it sucks to hear, but it can be helpful, if you think of it as them wanting to help you, and noticing that you can do it, but just don't do it as often as perhaps they would prefer. Anyway, I'm being verbose again, so let me end with "Love the show; hope the feedback helps". Or if it is something you already addressed, then good job, the difference is noticeable as you jump around through the different years you've been doing the show.
