Even know like most sequels, not as good as the first, even though the first Ape Man was not that good, always fun to see Carradine and Lugosi. Where was George Zucco? 😮

What is interesting to me in this movie is not Bela Lugosi or John Carradine, but the young heroine, Teala Loring, who looks a dead-ringer for Rita Hayworth, with her thick lustrous brown hair, worn shoulder-length. Teala's claim to fame were a few of the 'B' movies she made during the 1940's and early 50's. She gave up her career for marriage to railway man, Eugene Pickler and to raise six kids. In today's times, Teala may be better known as the eldest sister of two ubiquitous star actresses, Debra Paget and Lisa Gaye. I looked for any similarities between Teala and her two younger sisters and only found that thick lustrous hair. Teala died a few years ago from injuries she sustained in an auto-accident. Lisa died 8 years ago, while brother Frank, who was younger than Teala by a few years died quite recently. Only Debra Paget who is 91 years of age is the lone survivor from this highly-theatrical family. Debra has a son who is a corporate lawyer.
