As long as I have been a club DJ, I have never been able to explain this to a non-DJ. Thanks for keeping it simple, easy and enjoyable. And on top of all this, when ready, the DJ is actually listening to both pieces of music (separately). I can't even begin to try to explain this to a non-DJ. It's a talent only a real DJ has. Without this ability (not counting everything else we need to know, musically), it's impossible to create a mix. Am I making any sense? LOL Great piece of info!

its the art of teaching! cuz its rly hard to xplain something hard make it understandable for a newb. surely he is a master on the decks but to explain it needs that teaching skill :) there millions of ppl who are good in that what they do but not every1 can describe it easy. just my oppinion ^^

i understand what you mean, trying to explain what DJs do to non-DJs. People think that DJs just stand there a scratch the record back and forth....they havent a clue!! lol Johnathan has a talent for explaining things like this though....

Ah, it took me awhile but now I follow you, J. Haha. I agree with Toxiccheese1990, I currently don't have a proper pair of headphones for DJing and this is a fantastic way to practice beat matching. Thanks for sharing!

@rockleetlotus No you can't. I had this mixer and it only supports line in. What your thinking about is a Dj controller like the BCD3000.

at the back of the mixer there is RECORD and MASTER,you need 2 cables with RCA and a jack,that jack wiill come plugged into your computer,in LINE,if you have,ifdon't i think works in mic ass well,then start your Audacity and where is that smallmic,i've selected Line-in and it works,although i don't recomend Audacity because the sound quality is poor!good luck,if you have any problems send a message:D

CDM-3600...I just picked one up, I think I like my American Audio CK-800 better, even though it has been discontinued. Neither have BPM, but I have another setup that I can use for BPM info using Algoriddim Djay on a Macbook Pro with Numark's Total Control. That was a good demo on cueing though.

@ClasClownProductions I wouldn't recommend this unit unless your a complete beginner to Dj'ing. The Cueing is not response, and sometimes lags if your going too fast. You can't stutter with this play button as it is made of a rubbery material, and when you want to make a loop there is a terrible pause when you go in and out of it(which can ruin a live mix). Don't go for it, unless its really your first attempt at dj'ing.

no u cant put in ur Ipod and u really just need speakers, so its just playing audio cds...

Umm...if you have a DJ program on your laptop, you can connect the program to the mixer. And then use digital files instead of CD's.

just connect your "booth" on 3600 with pc input (like it's a microphone) and get some program for recording.. like Audacity.. hope U get it.. good luck

Hi mate, I've just bought a CDM3600 and i've found that the pitch is not completely variable, making these decks pretty useless for Drum and Bass mixing. Is there a setting i can change or anything?

a have the cdx 2400 and its a dual its most the same than the cdm 3600 but dont have mixer in the midle and the pich ist super inestable jumps from 1.2 to 3.2 and when you move the pich makes strange changes 2.5 4,5 even if i move a little my cuestion its these unit haves the same problem in the pich? please ellaskins respond!
