Gemini - Cedar Point - 4K POV 2016 - Sandusky, Ohio

Gemini is a racing roller coaster with a wooden structure and steel track, located at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. Built in 1978 by Arrow Dynamics and designed by Ron Toomer, it is one of the oldest roller coasters in the park. When the ride opened, it was marketed as the tallest, fastest and steepest roller coaster in the world. All three record-breaking claims were falsely made as other coasters around the world already beat Gemini. The all-steel Loch Ness Monster at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia, opened earlier that year before Gemini and was taller but had a shorter drop. Screamin' Eagle at Six Flags St. Louis opened two years prior to Gemini and was faster at 62 mph. Montaña Rusa at La Feria Chapultepec Magico in Mexico City opened four years prior to Gemini and was longer by 65 feet.

You know, when I went to that rollercoaster the second time since years ago I was wondering what ride made me so scared. When I saw the train in the water park(?) I was like "Oh shoot." but then I liked the ride.

No trim brakes thru the brake run this time or before the helix! Makes for a much faster ride towards the end!

It's not rough. You get lots of airtime which is great. It's my favorite coaster in the park. Of course I haven't ridden Steel Vengence yet so it may become number 2 depending.

Tk plays well if you’ve ever seen The Racer at Kings Island like one side like all the time is just running not the other one

I honestly think that Gemini is kinda rigged for the red side to win each time. If both sides are going at the same time, then the red side is much more likely to win because it has more inner turns than the blue side. Every video I have seen on Gemini, the red side wins.

The Iron Dragon is super smooth. The Gemini, not so much but it's not bad. I hate bumpy coasters but Gemini is still my favorite ride.

It is by far the best coaster in the whole park, in my opinion. I always ride it at least twice when I'm there. The only way you are going to know is just to overcome your fears and get on it at least once. I promise, you'll love it!
