I'm sorry to say this but she is completely blinded by her love for her father (which is somewhat understandable) I'm sure he was a nice man to them, and a good father figure to them but that doesn't change any of the other things he did. Her side of the story is only 1/10th of the entire story, and its obvious how high she has placed her father in her head, she doesn't want to think otherwise. Sometimes truth is bitter. Mahanati/ Nadigar Thilagam was SAVITRI'S biopic, so obviously they want to know about her and the main info comes from HER DAUGHTER. It's so pathetic how a highly educated women keeps blaming other women especially Savitri for breaking her home, it takes two to tango. Many women may have loved him during that time, but HE decided to marry and cheat, and marry and cheat over and over again... that's public knowledge (with or without this film). However, I do think Kamala ma'am's mother was a wonderful, patient women who tried to do the best she could with a negative situation. Kamala ma'am herself said that her mother was crying a lot during this time -all Savitri's fault? It must be a very difficult truth pill for her to swallow...

Why would anyone in their right senses get into an affair with a married man even if he made the moves. Let us not become judgemental as they were both wrong. When you get into an extra marital relationship there is a price one has to pay if you don’t manage your life well. If she had managed her life and resources well, she would be in a far better place. Let me ask you imagine if the movie director decided to film the movie in a different way.....where *Savitri kept throwing herself at GG and refusing to listen to her uncle while GG kept pushing away. She threatens to suicide if he doesn't marry her. He gives up and marries her and comes home to his wife and kids who feel betrayed and abandoned. GG is forced to be with her but is not fully committed to the relationship as it was based off threats and not love, she resorts to abusing alcohol......wow all of a sudden angel character turned to devil character. It's all about POV! Obviously Mahanati is a Telugu movie so even the script we were shown could be biased as it was loosely based on reality (aka POV of the her daughter who approached the director to make a film about her mother). All I'm saying is it takes two to tango* and she is upset that her dad was portrayed a villain while the mistress that married her father is shown in limelight. Nothing wrong with that.

I saw an interview given by vijaya, savithri’s daughter recently. Not once she said anything bad about you in Any of the interviews. It’s obvious that she respects you and mentioned you fondly a few times. Her memories of her mother, some were told by you to her. She may have done some things in the past, but she must’ve had her reasons. The more i watched your interviews, the more I’m coming to realise that you have never truly accepted her as your sister. There had been a discontent/ dissatisfaction in your heart, probably because what your mother have been through. Please watch the interview rekha has given to simi garewal about your father. Your family and father completely ignored them. Her life became a sad tragedy because her childhood memories were only rejection by her own father. That paved way for the rest of the tragedies in her live. There’s a longing and sadness in her eyes. So madam, you are doctor and have achieved great things. When a women loves a man leaves her family and comes to him he should respect her and kids. In a way he was responsible for her prosperity as well as downfall. In the end she went unconscious. She always wanted a father figure in life. Which she never had. A father is always a guidance for their daughters. A father daughter bond is above the Gemini ganeshan Savitri love. The fact is he was in charge of all her finances was having joint account but pushed her into tax raids while the money of hers was safe with him in his own wifes account.. A play boy, a cunning fellow was portrayed as a great lover.. But the film is very good only because of keerthi Suresh. Very very sad for a very nice lady... When I compare this interview with what Vijaya , Savithri` s daughter `S interview , this comes out as a cheap insensitive outburst against savithri and Vijaya for what they didn`t do and could not be blamed for . Mahanati showcased the truth- The film is from Savithri Maam's persepctive and it cannot have your mother's (with due respects to her strength and love for Gemini Ganesan) perspective. Does this show your class and level? 3. Just because your mother chose to stay in the marraige despite Gemini Ganesan being involved with Savithri, doesnt warrant Savithri to endure a similar fate! Its her choice and she demands loyalty from her husband. She chose to walk away and you "Demean" her reaction as over reaction. This is a sign of being absoutely insensitive maam. You seem to criticise Savithri maam for the romance that ensued between them; but isnt a man (your father) equally involved in the same? You also seem to justify Gemini Ganesan's indifference towards Rekha and Pushpavalli. She should have known later that she was wrong to Miss Alamelu. Miss Alamelu is great and patient. Miss Alamelu was there for her children rock solid.
