Thank you gem for looking at the loot at the level you’re meant to be taking them on, they made the loot for your situation, lots of food cuz you’re gonna be going through a out of it, enchanted iron tools, iron ingots, etc. things that are useful for you a few days into your Minecraft world, you’re not day 1, you’ve got some armor, but definitely not rolling in the diamonds with crazy enchants. Not everything needs to give enchanted golden apples and netherite ingots.
@schrodingerskatze43084 ай бұрын
I agree. If you want better loot, that's what the ominous potions are for. So basically, there's an easy mode for this level, and a hard mode for later.
@SnyperMK2000JclL4 ай бұрын
Loot from the Spawners sure, but let's be real the loot from regular Vaults is kinda lacking even "for the level". Personally I'd like to see some of the junk items be removed from Normal Vaults, I really don't want a couple arrows and an emerald from a SINGLE time use Vault, that loot isnt even on par with the other Overworld Structures like dungeons, temples, mineshafts, etc... Trials Chambers take far more effort and should yield loot better than the random zero effort chests in other structures around the overworld.
@josephb.14254 ай бұрын
@@SnyperMK2000JclL All structures have junk loot, and most chambers have multiple vaults, spawners, and pots, so if all of them give good loot, the structure as a whole quickly becomes overpowered
@owlplaysgames39104 ай бұрын
I agree with both angles. I think the amount of junk needs to be tuned down a little, but probably not as much as most people are asking for.
@juulig184 ай бұрын
I feel like part of the problem with the loot is that they don't come in enough quantities to actually make a difference... like, iron ingots *are* useful but realistically even in the early game just 5 iron ingots won't do a lot for you

GeminiTay, you can (humanely) harvest scutes from armadillos with brushes, but be careful, you'll need a LOT of brushes! Armadillo scutes are _rough_ on the durability. They can be bred with something you have plenty of: 🕷👁 One your mangrove tree has grown, you can get as many propagules as you want by bonemealing the underside of a mangrove leaf block~
@alysoffoxdale4 ай бұрын
You don't even need to brush them at all, given enough time. They simply shed scutes as regularly as chickens lay eggs.
@ShiroiKiba4 ай бұрын
@alysoffoxdale I've been wondering (haven't found a way quite yet), but Impulse made a sheep farm early in Hermitcraft Season 10 where the hit boxes of all of the sheep overlapped; so one shear use produces quite a bit more wool. I wonder if there's a way to force the armadillo hit boxes to overlap in the same manner; then you could just put a hopper minecart underneath and wire a clock (for high speed production). I just don't know how brush durability would interact in that situation; is it durability gone per use or per armadillo?
@alysoffoxdale4 ай бұрын
@@ShiroiKiba Just because you can doesn't mean you should! Honestly, at 16 durability per swipe, it's simply not worth either the effort or the resources of using brushes on armadillos. At least with shears you get 238 uses before they break, not just 4. You truly are better off just doing an egg farm design to collect the naturaly shed scutes. IIRC, it was Ianxofour's wool farm design that Impulse used, but I can't swear to that.
@ShiroiKiba4 ай бұрын
@@alysoffoxdaleI just like building farms, and already have pretty much everything else I need set up in my world; I provide materials for friends also, so it's nice to have a lot on hand. There's no effort that goes into brushing armadillos, and Trial Chambers made copper obscenely abundant (plus, sticks and feathers are easy to get in large quantities as well). Even if brushes break quickly and even if lining up hit boxes wouldn't save durability, an autocrafter with a comparator circuit would ensure stock is maintained. Thank you for the name of the farm creator; I'll look into it to be sure :)
@alysoffoxdale4 ай бұрын
@@ShiroiKiba In that case, then, up to 24 armadillos can be dropped into a 1x1 hole, or more if there's a vine or ladder to prevent entity cramming. Because yeah, the best farm is the one that makes you happy to design, build, and/or run, regardless of efficiency or resources used, and I apologize for telling you earlier that you're doing it wrong!

If you want an "in world" lore reason for the presence/use of woods not present in the biome. You could park a merchant's cart or two outside the gate, carrying logs, planks, a barrel with fruit, a few saplings to sell the vibe. As an aside it makes me wish you could bundle leaves or have leaf "carpets"..or even just leaves of varying "decay states".

When Rome was powerful, it was able to ignore landscape features when building roads. A Roman road did not care about rivers or hills, but simply followed the destination in the distance. Every bend would have meant a loss of time and a disregard for the terrain. So they built costly bridges and high ramps to avoid having to deviate from the straight line. The straight line conquered the space, it structured it and its course was an indication of who built it. 😉

This was fun to watch! And I'm actually very glad that Mojang is adding features like trial chambers into Minecraft that are accessible and fun to play and maybe specifically geared for early/mid stage players and casual players who maybe never really play to the endgame (hi, i'm one! i enjoy just building little things and planting fields and i'm a coward who doesn't often do enough mining to have full diamond armor or go into the nether or beat the ender dragon, i'll just get iron armor, maybe enchant it, that's usually enough for me), it's just that I think a lot of the people who are really active in the minecraft community, let alone big name enough to get their voices easily heard, are people who get through the early game stages very quickly and spend most of their playtime in the endgame fully enchanted diamond gear and all that, so a lot of the comments and feedback on new stuff is from that perspective, and i think some people might forget that not everyone plays like that. But, yeah, idk. I think it's nice to have features like this that a casual not super skilled player like me who never really gets super good armor or weapons or things can still have fun with

The 'raw meat' vibe of Netherack is pretty much intentional, but at least it doesn't look like it did in 1.12 which was very ick. The Nether was way too busy looking with that old texture. The now softer, smoother netherack may not be all that appealing _still,_ but at least it does work as a splash of color for builds. Especially true since Mangrove was introduced; they work really nicely together. While the roof is small enough scale that you need a bit of time to get used to it, imo it looks great. When more of them go up, they'll all harmonize, and warm up the winter-y chill of your second biome home.

I really want to find a Trial Chamber of my own now! GeminiSlay saying she isn't good at PvP. 😏 I also employ the straight line method. But I do take a compass with me, just in case I get turned around. Armadillos will naturally drop their scutes in the same way chickens lay eggs. You can also brush them, but that eats through the brush like acid!
@Sunshine_Radio4 ай бұрын
In my last Minecraft world, instead of murdering armadillos or using brushes and loosing like all my copper to replacements, I just collected a LOT of armadillos. They drop their scutes naturally, albeit slowly. Having as many armadillos possible mean that their drops kind of time themselves to always give you scutes
