There's a lot I don't get. What I still can't wrap my brain around is how this album flew under the radar like it did. It's a fucking knock-out first effort. I love her other albums that followed, but Night on My Side is still a real treasure. Her covers are brilliant too.

One of my fave songs of hers. She deserves more recognition. One of Ireland's best female artists for sure.

This is nearly 10 years old?! This song is a portal to another era... "Got no place else to go In a daze, just hanging around..."

you commented 4 years ago? it was already FIFTEEN years old by then. Now its 19 years old.

totally agree!! her songs are fantastic and have such a unique, rock, folky, earthy, irish vibe. im so surprised she is not more widely known. her songs should be played more on radio and stuff!!! one of the best music artists period to come out off Ireland!!

Gemma, all these people that (beneath) say that they love you are charlatans! Why, they would blurt that out over any goddess! Why, it is I that love you! It is my blurt that is real!!

Girl can sing but I can't imagine a blander or more contrived song. Any teenagers in a suburban garage could have written this. Let down for such a voice.

I'd argue more My Bloody Valentine (that portamento/bendy note under the chorus)... :)
