The green stone could be ocean jasper. That’s what it looked like to me. They are really beautiful! Did you know in Roman times the men that went into battle would carry a piece of carnelian into battle for courage. They believed it gave them courage. Pretty stones!!

The little round that you found at 2:15 looks a lot like the nodules I found in my area and that cloudy within could be a crystal pocket. Forms of chalcedony both Jasper being a opaque Matrix and agate being clear or banded both can occur simultaneously. And you're not too far from the truth when you call them dragons eggs for they come from the bubbles and crevices within Basalt

I wrote a story for my granddaughter a long time ago. I was a storyteller, not a writer so the spoken word is important to me. I can't physically hunt treasures anymore and getting out to see people is nearly out of the question. I am home-bound and online addicted, keeping my sanity. So............ That quartz round stone with the white spot will be the stone I speak of when I retell the story "The Life of a Stone." It inspired me and touched me for this reason. Before it was found, it waited. Mother Earth spent millions of years making it exactly as you found it. To honor that, it is now in a story. I am a hippy-dippy chick from the 60s and 70s and that will never be taken from my heart, it is layered the same way the earth layers its stones. One important thing at a time.

Hello girls, firstly what is a hag stone? And then, do you polish and the cut the stones or visa versa and next question what is a dragon's egg? We have agate in Oz too, my mother was an avid collector but the stones were usually polished and kept for their beauty rather than be made into jewelry, do you normally do that or something else, I'd really like to know🥰👍

Excellent video! I love hunting rocks also. Michigan Great Lakes are a treasure trove! We don't have to watch for tides. As huge and almost ocean like as the Great Lakes are there is no tides! We collect Carnelian and agates also. If you'd ever like to see an example of Great Lakes shores and rocks watch Michigan Rocks. He does interesting videos on rock and fossilized coral hunting! He also tumbles, cuts and makes jewelry and other items from rocks. Thank you for another excellent jewelry making episode. Your friend from Michigan 🌷🐦🇺🇸

Nice stone finds. Several of the stones you found had quartz crystal pockets, it's the white crackly looking bit in the center of some of those deeply colored stones. The green stone Gail found with the red spot at around 6 minutes looks like Jasper, which is in the same family as agates, and have a wonderful range of colors. Your necklace is beautiful 💜

Awesome necklace Gail! A real designer piece. Would love to see a pendant made out of the Dragon's Egg Gail found near the end. I was wondering while I was watching the video - where did the Carnelian and Chalcedony come from? There didn't seem to be any cliffs nearby. Was there a gemstone 💍💎mine there at one time? What a lovely place to go! Maybe some day...🛫✈ 🛬Hugs from Virginia!💜 💜

Shmoo-approved!! Beautiful necklace, Gail. I love watching you gals create your masterpieces. I'm wondering if that green stone is some kind of jasper? I've never met a jasper that I didn't like, and there are so many kinds! Carnelians are my next favorites and are cousins of the jaspers. I'm not an orange bead fan, but carnelians glow from within it seems. Like an ember. The cinematography was stunning. Great job! Take care, ladies

Omgoodness! I love stones! You have a beach with so many beautiful one's, I'd have to bring a few people along just so I could bring have of the amazingly gorgeous one's around all the amazing ones you've found. So many unique and beautiful stones, glass and some are minerals, correct! I would have amazing beautiful garden. The both of you have so much talent that you turn them into works of art! AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL! You are so blessed with talent, patience and with the cost of supplies, traveling to places, all the other necessities needed to create all these amazing works of art, what an another blessing to have this platform to show your gits and talents! Alex, I don't know remember if you have ever met up with Tom Burleigh, I'd have to go back and look, but between the 2 of you...I would love the combination or even separate video's of the 2 of you speaking. Your voices are like the sound flow of a slow small stream in the chaos of life. Peaceful, soothing, endlessly calming and ceasely flowing to create an atmosphere of bliss! I could listen to the both of you talk for hours! Someday, I hope someone with the powers that be recognize that gift and offer you both the chance to use that gift to narrate on a wider scale then you channels. One of both of your many gifts! ❤ Wishing you all blessings and health from one of your channels American fans!

With your mom and your talent and a bit of small carving, he would be an amazing teddybear pendant or ring. Oh, I would love to see that! I love this necklace! It's beautiful! You should rly think about doing some actual tutorials and she explains her process she makes it look so simple! I make and sell jewelry and metal stamped stuff and mess with metal that way also do paintings /crafts but my next thing to teach myself is the soldering and stuff like what your mom did so I can do my own ball headpins and pendants and what not now I'm way more Inspired to try it! That dragons egg is gorgeous too, im in Central Pennsylvania USA and have searched the waters edges around here for SO LONG then last yr I finallllly found a big hag stone the size of a big potatoe and a small one with multiple holes, haven't found one since lol I wish I could come there and search for things sometime, coolest thing I've found since was a 1950s green glass soda bottle seen the bottom sticking outta the mud alone the rivers edge where the water just starts and pulled it out expecting whatever it was to be shattered but it was all in 1 piece I did some researching to figure out the exact type and did find a comparison pic and it was right but I forget off the top of my head, I've tried everything to get the mud and who knows what else out of the inside but nothing is working any suggestions?!

I must say that sandblasting Alex endured during the filming of the video attests to your commitment to you channel. I love the way the sand illuminated in the sun. I want to commend you and Gail for all you go thru for your fans. Not only the traveling, rain, cold, heat and of course the wind. I could go on but I think you get my point. Thanks always.

Yes, I was covered in sand after this tip, haha. But I loved how the sand looked like shooting stars in the sunlight! Thank you very much!! 🥰

Question, who wrote the song in this video that’s playing at 12:19.? It seems like it’s your theme song because you play it so much, but I like it very much. Are you able to let us know who the artists are in your videos.? the music is so relaxing. I would love a copy of your music.

I live on the coast of western Washington state and we too have carnelian agates on our beaches. They are not as sea-polished as yours and they often have darker bands of color (like veins) rather than the lighter bands as yours have., but often can be found in large, flatter pieces...amazing pieces of rock that just cry to be displayed in glass containers on a windowsill where the sun shines through them. They are my favorite rocks. We can also find the clear ones you call calcedony but not as frequently as the carnelian. Love your videos!
