I loved the wood from the copper mine. How fascinating to see the copper deposited in the wood !

If you did an episode on minerals Dracula could have found on his travels you could have added Jet from Whitby where his boat crashed on the beach. But some very interesting minerals.
@gems Жыл бұрын
Yes, we love Whitby jet! And we'd love to see the annual Goth festival they hold there to honor Dracula's landing.

Wulfenite is my favorite. And my children have hematite-like blood in their veins. Mixture of Norwegian Viking blood from me and Transylvanian blood from their mother. Btw, Romania has a very nice gold too... And thank you for sharing💯👍💯

I thought pure silver is a noble metal and won't tarnish so is that specimen of native silver an alloy?

When Sarah scratched tested the hematite or when she was twanging the silver, Robert was cringing. He said its best to just leave it alone and look at it like a spooky tree. Hint hint Sarah 😳💀😅🎉

I have been interested in collecting gemstones lately, and I would like to ask if you know of any trusted online stores from which I can order? I'm scared of getting scammed ;;
@gems Жыл бұрын
We would love it, if you'd check out our (gemstones.com) storefront on jedora.com. We've got some great minerals specimens and loose gems. We have gemologists on staff and thoroughly test everything that comes in the door. We also are leaders in disclosing any treatments done to these specimens. Plus, we're here to educate you and create informed consumers. Why buy from anyone else?

Fun fact: silver was classified as a precious metal bc it didn’t really tarnish before humans dumped countless tons of sulfur into the atmosphere starting in the industrial revolution.
