Thanks for making this video man. I have one of the new ones and recently I've become interested in the older ones. I know the new one should be better but I prefer the sound and feel of the last gen S1K lineup. I have a 2016 XR and when I rode the new one, I felt like I still preferred my 2016. I want to ride an older RR to know if I would feel the same way even though I have a 2023. I felt as though the last gen bikes didn't need to have tunes to open them up. Plus the pops and bangs were on point in Dynamic stock.

They both have a different feel. I honestly can't decide which one I like more, the 2020 handles better and has all the bells and whistles but I just feel more "disconnected" from it, hard to describe. I might keep my gen 1, might sell the new 1 haven't decided yet.

@@BuffBMWBiker I don’t think you can go wrong with either one tbh. I’ve heard from my suspension guy that they really perfected the first gen after 2015. They also had a forged wheel option too. I wonder how that or an hp4 would feel?

@@BeginnerMoto Haven't ridden the HP4 yet, but you're correct the suspension on the 2010 isn't great. The dynamic suspension on the 2020 is just incredible! One of the reasons it edged out the 2010 a bit, I need to make another review video where I describe more differences.
