As a 16 RR owner in Sydney great to see an Ausi comparison, surprised about the cruise control never heard of that in any other review? The bikes are awesome and lethal to licenses but brilliant on the track, fantastic on the Oxley while enjoyable on a normal cruise. Great video well done.

I’ve had my M for a few months and done 3000 km. The cruise on your test bike is faulty. It works just fine. The clutch uptake is very fussy but it is something you get used to after a while. The bike is viby especially compared to my old cbr which was super smooth. I put a set of Evotech bar ends on which helped quite a bit. Dynamically the bike is outstanding and the level of grip is awesome. I’ve been riding in Victoria in cold conditions mainly but it still feels like it will just stick. Awesome machine.

Hey mate, do you reckon it is worth trading my 2017 fireblade for the new s1000rr ? I mainly go to reefton for a ride
@rogase684 жыл бұрын
@@raymadani270 ha of course it is. I remember riding a s1000rr 17 and was blown away how much better is was than my 08 Blade, then this review shows you how much better the new model is again. When I got the new bike I cant tell you how different it felt. So light and agile. It just wants to dive into corners. The other thing I like about is its versatile. Pro race modes allow you to dial in what you want. I have one mode set up where I have no wheelie control so I can power wheelie out of cnrs yet you still have traction control to keep things safe mid cnr. Feeling tired just put it in rain mode and is nice and supple with a soft throttle and cruise control to boot. At the stiffer end of the spectrum in Race Pro it feels as sharp as my old race bikes. I put a full system on it and it is now as light or lighter than a 600. The top end of this bike is something else. Scary fast and not usable on the road. You need to be at Phillip Island

The 19/2020 is night and day far more precise on throttle it’s lethal but fun! To me the bike looks unfinished it needs a belly pan and the swing up looks like not much design went into it. It’s still a good looking bike but the riding position is far different to the older version ! Personally I found the 15/16’a where the best so comfy you could tour on it ! I have one on order but now the v2 has come out I’m considering that, only issue is how reliable will the Ducati be I’ve heard some stories but I guess every brand has issues .

Hi guys I'm from Mumbai - India.... great review..... However iv had a good test ride experience on the 2020 s1000rr M sport version and especially the cruise control... Infact after setting it to the desired speed iv left the throttle bar and it went on at the same set speed.... Probably some glitch in the software of the Motorcycle you'll had.... Another feature was the cruise control memory where firing the cruise control mode of you increase the speed and let go of the throttle it comes back to the cruise control speed that it was originally set at... So a really great feature... Once again good review and safe riding

Have ridden the old 2017 in same configuration and new 2020 in M and normal version with HP wheels only the M with carbon wheels make a difference. Specifically regarding the steering. It is way more light. Powerwise the old with a full akra is as fast as the new one. Also in the midrange when mapped. But indeed standard vs standard the 2020 has more midrange grunt. Also some 500 rpm more on the top end. Very negative re the 2020 is that it has a lot more vibrations and the engine makes more noise. Still in my opinion the old one looks more special.

I’ve seen on a bmw letterhead a dealership memo explaining the delay in deliveries of the 2020 is due to a halt in production due to a third party supplied component issue. I guess at some stage we will find out more. Looks like they’ll be back on track in a few months time and start clearing the backlog. There’s still issues with the US delivered bikes due to emission driven detuning of the bike in the low range rpm. My plan is to wait until the 2nd gen bike comes out and they’ve sorted the gremlins out of it. I figure that’s 12 months away. Hopefully not that long.

Don't fall for the badge, I regret selling my CBR1000rr 2017 and purchasing a 2020 S1000RR race edition. The bike is jerky in the first gear, shitty clutch with no gradual friction range, gets super hot at every traffic light, turning radius is too large, seat height is not what you think, won't start before you try it a few times (software issue), paint varnish is too thin so it needs further treatment if you don't want scratches, the engine is vibrating like shit (numb hands after a couple of hours is guaranteed), mirrors are useless duo the bike vibration, bulky and wide fuel tank, navigation app sucks (always lagging so good luck finding your exact turn), the front brake has a savage bite KZbin is full of crap which results in losing the hard-earned money . be careful, please It is only a good bike for the track and not for commuting or weekend joyride PLUS, YOU DON'T GET TO RIDE IT BEFORE YOU PAY IT IN FULL

Go up and down there a bit for high speed handling and cornering, then ride up the hill to the top, to test gradually tighter & steeper stuff. Then turn around and go back down, to test closed throttle and tightening radius and downhill off camber and... All that takes maybe an hour, but by the end, you will know most of what there is to know about the way that bike handles. Throw in a track day, let's say Qld Raceway or Morgan Pk would be better, and you have really done a test. This one is also very nice... www.google.com/maps/dir/-27.1944627,152.8260692/-26.7583428,152.852757/Montville/@-26.9808232,152.6144229,10.5z/data=!4m10!4m9!1m0!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x6b9381071bd89629:0x502a35af3deabf0!2m2!1d152.883333!2d-26.683333!3e0?hl=en
