The movement of mechs is to light and don't have the weight in it, and interaction with the environment almost non existent. Mechs in show don't feel like big robots, more like exo-suits. I hope they fix that in future.
@VegetaLF74 жыл бұрын
It probably is because these basically *are* exo-suits. The team aren't "piloting" the holons in the traditional sense, but have transferred their minds into them, effectively turning the mechs into their bodies. We see the more mech-like Striders in earlier episodes and they fully are acting like heavy robots should. It's just that the holons are being "worn" rather than "piloted" that makes them move unusually.
@MrCreepjo4 жыл бұрын
@@VegetaLF7 Doesn't mean the mechs should exhibit nothing of impact. Even mechs like Gundam Exia which uses a reactor that lets it fly like paper still exhibit impact when it lands even when it fights. Plenty of mech shows does this, so it having pilot connected to a neuro mind isn't an excuse to why the fight feels weightless.

I will seriously miss this franchise. It had a lot of potential, and in our times, where sjw garbage is being put on a pedestal, we need more shows like Genlock, who focus on actually tell an interesting story and have interesting characters, instead of movies and show who SACRIFICE these aspects for the sake of forced diversity and fake equality.
@Deterex5253 жыл бұрын
Are you sure you're talking about the same show? Since the story is quite abysmal as we learn nothing about the Union, they are simply "The Bad Guys". This show has horrendous pacing issues, blazing through story beats that should last much longer, 1st example I could think of is the Traitor part of the story it could've been 2-3 episodes worth of content but they get that done and over with in the same episode. Not to mention what was the traitor guy's plan since he has to leave his body to get into those mechs? And this is just one of many issues I found while watching the show. And maybe you could refresh my memory but could you tell me what exactly is interesting about our main characters? I can only remember 2 of their names, those being Chase and Cammie, and I can't for the life of me remember any type of character Chase has in this show while Cammie is... spunky... I guess. Not to mention this has a fair amount of that "SJW Garbage" too my main point being when they're trying to explain gender fluid to the Japanese guy, who simply asked a question and is trying to learn about it. But everyone else is giving him a nasty eye making him look like a bad guy.
@wojciechwerner87873 жыл бұрын
@@Deterex525 I agree that Union is treated like RWBY Grimm, big scary and evil, we don’t even knew what they want. But spy plan make sense after we learn truth about Nemesis. He leave his body because he was planning to return to it. As powerful as Nemesis is he is clearly insane and with how much it hate Chase I imagine that there can be only one active at a time. Spy was probably chosen partially because he wouldn't have problem with being stuck in machine or there being multiple copies of him.
@Deterex5253 жыл бұрын
@@wojciechwerner8787 I cannot agree with your comparison of the Union to the Grim from RWBY since they have been explained a bit in Vol 1, then expanded on more in a World Of Remnant video (which may it may not be cannon since the creators like to change things so often) and through some exposition in Vol 4. And in regards to your point about the Spy, if and this is a big "IF" the spy was gen:lock compatible he would've needed to contest with Chase in the hangar leaving his body super vulnerable to someone just waking up and killing the Spy's body. As for Nemesis, I can only speculate at what the Union could've done to him because we are never shown it. And I can only guess Nemesis became insane once the Copy had been uploaded into another Gen:Lock unit. Though that raises further questions as if the Nemesis could feel/sense the Copy, why couldn't the Copy feel or sense the Original since they are pretty much on the same grid whenever they go into their mechs?
@wojciechwerner87873 жыл бұрын
@@Deterex525 Maybe you are right about Union and Grimm. I was trying to make point that they were there to serve as a punching bag for heroes and not much more at the beginning. I think that you misunderstand how gen:LOCK work. When they are in halons body’s are empty shells, simply meat. Killing them have only affect that pilots cannot come back to them but it doesn't affect minds negatively (except for implication of being stuck in machine). Maybe lack of experience/knowledge and Blue Chase (hard to come up with right name to distinguish them) was feeling/sensing Nemesis but ignore it thinking it was static.
