Confessions of a real flower child: I was raised by a hippie mom with liberal values, which in the late 60s and early 70s (think Vietnam) meant that the military is EVIL!!! My journey into adulthood has been full of surprises, one of which is the deep respect I have for the highest ranking officers in our military. After working factories, food service, and cube land, I saw the Dilbert Principle everywhere (incompetence tends to rise in power), and I assumed it was true in the military too. Blind obedience and a violent streak is what they want in the military, right? Now I am convinced that in our military, that's simply not the case. It really is possible to have integrity, honor, wisdom, and empathy while serving in military leadership. In fact, those qualities seem to serve officers well. Our military still has serious issues, but I think I've addressed my own bigotry. I can see it for what it is, and hopefully I will stop feeling amazed when decent officers like Gen. Milley actually stand up for what's right and start seeing it as normal and unremarkable. During the last presidency I became convinced that the Joint Chiefs surely had a contingency plan in case Trump decided he wanted to nuke N. Korea over a Twitter war or something. I actually didn't feel I had to worry about that, because blood lust and blind obedience are not what they really value. I'm not perfect, but sometimes I love being wrong!

The sad problem and reality is that: "We The People" doesn't include us all. Which is why those not included will protest and continue their fight to be respectfully recognized and to experience their share of equality. Recorded history is usually a "one sided" story written by it's victors only. But human history and religion also has a lot of "deliberate" gaps, contradictions, hypocrisies and secrets. The purpose of repetitive propaganda is to force ideologies onto it's constituents in which also forces them into obedience.

@alanepithet29313 жыл бұрын
@@TranscendianIntendor It's pretty simple, actually. Because the Vice President's role in the certifying of the votes by the House and Senate is entirely ceremonial, basically. They're there to make the whole counting of the votes official, and have no actual say in what any of the votes say. It'd be pretty silly if the president or vice president could say 'Sorry, we don't want to leave so these votes don't count. Do it again until we stay in power.' It was not taught at all that I can remember. So imagine my surprise, when I learned about the Tulsa Massacre, when I saw it on The Watchmen series. The Tulsa Race Massacre did not happen hundreds of years ago, it happened 100 years ago. Not that long. Yet, in America, we still attempt to "white wash" the past. So, not very surprising at all actually, that others have not heard about the Tulsa Race Massacre. Shameful that it took so long to bring this into the national spotlight.

Yup, he has narcissistic personality disorder and his lying is pathological. How on Earth did he get elected?? I guess that those who voted for him are also pathological liars with narcissistic personality disorder. So they actually WANT presidents that have these horrible traits.

@@VolVexGaming He does not have dementia or any other intellectual disorder. He only has a stuttering problem. So your lying about him makes no sense. By the way, I’m a Republican, but like any normal Republican, I’m sick of tRumps lies (30,000 +), not counting the over 4,000 lies while he was running for President. So no, tRump is, in fact, the worst President in American history.

I love the sheer lack of awareness that right-wingers exhibit on this subject: "We don't want to teach our kids about the country's checkered past. We want our children to be proud of their country!" LYING ABOUT THE COUNTRY'S HISTORY IS NOT SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF

So true😊
@s.z.95793 жыл бұрын
Actually that means: If kids knew about the country‘s history they couldn’t be proud of their country. Because there are too many dark spots? Huh? Of course they can. Every country has darker periods in it‘s past. Nonetheless you can change structures or attitudes - and still be proud of your country.

Teaching lies about history is not national pride, that's sheer ignorance. Teaching the _truth_ is exhibiting a level of pride. Knowing true history will invigorate national pride.. when people look around them and see how far we've come as a country will cause them to feel pride in their nation, and appreciation for those who've moved us forward.

Well, truth be told, that's why they are going batsh*t crazy because someone has opened up the vault and all their dirty laundry is being hung out for all the world to see. They don't know what to do because lying about it only goes so far these days and people of all races want to know the truth. Obviously I'm talking about the select few that still believe that America belongs to them and that everyone should go back to where they came from. What baffles me is that they also have to go back to where they came from. People like the red hats and others of their ilk. And we must not leave out the orange pumpkin, one of satans closest demons.
