Gen. Sejusa arrested for holding unlawful procession

Former Coordinator of Intelligence Services General David Sejusa was arrested and detained for about three hours. Police said he excited the public and held an unlawful procession after boda boda riders followed him while chanting on Kampala Road.
Gen. Sejusa was detained at Jinja Road Police Station and was later released after a caution. Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander Haruna Isabirye later told journalists at the station that Sejusa should have informed police after seeing many boda boda riders following. But as Sudhir Byaruhanga reports, Gen. Sejusa described the police action as mere intimidation.
