At least it was a banger five game series and not a one sided 3-0. Sad that T1 lost but they ramped up within a week even if they lost their opportunities to win. It just feels like Gen G has a better grasp of the meta, of T1's weaknesses and - funnily enough - better champ pool. T1 showed their Vayne hand early and had no other responses in draft beyond their standard picks. They also got cocky and let Gen G have their picks. Hopefully T1 can ramp up again for MSI.

They instantly lock on Lucian and they are willing to change they made the decision to make Game 4, their do or die game, a game of stopping Oner and Guma. Picking Khazix was risky but their strategy was to pick Oner in isolation and then control the map objectives - why? Because this was T1’s strategy in Game 2 and 3. Gen G swallowed their pride and copied T1’s strategy while T1 became confident they can beat Gen G for whatever may come in game 4. Proved to be fatal for them. Skillwise individually T1 players > Gen G players. Team strategy Gen G > T1. Hence T1 always lose. Same in Worlds 2022 when they lost to that chinese team? Lol forgot the name 🥲 The reason they won Worlds 2023 was their opponents were inexperienced. Had that team more experienced T1 might lose due to lack of creative stragies. Only Zeus has that innovation to pick Vayne top.

This T1 lost does not hurt as much as last year because this time they looked like they could put up a fight and they did. Sad that they let Ksante open and play Zac into it. I thought Faker would have done better with another Mid champ like Hwei, Ahri, Cass, or Victor who were all open. T1 performance in the first game was better than the 5th game to be honest. However, unlike last years games this one was not one-sided and I like that they show they can take 2 games win from Gen.G and didn't not go 0-3 this final. I see the improvements, though a tough lost they show they can catch Gen.G off-guard when Gen.G put down their guard for a sec. This one was a fun Final. Gen.G showed their drive, and consistently improving skills but at the end of the day the goal remains to surpass T1 10 LCK win and 4 World Champ, and Gen.G is showing to be the one who will achieve that if T1 don't figure something out soon. This is the best rivalry in League of Legend by far.
