Out of control ride no matter what DARE situation type friends back in the old generation X lifestyle, besties were called ride or d!e and we didn’t let each other down

Absolutely. My friends and I were like cousins... much more than friends. I have a couple of friends still from those days in the 80s. One of my childhood friends today would still let me sleep on his couch for a while if i had to request / impose on him and I would lone/give him money if he needed it. Friendship was different in Gen X. In my opinion.

It seems like it to me and while there are still some younger gens that would go so far it’s nowhere near as many. Smiles

I was born in 1969, my best friend is my same best friend since 1976 when we were both in 2nd grade; I'm 55, he'll be 55 in August. We're taking our stories to the grave ! Lol 😆 🤣 😂. I can't believe sometimes that it's been 48 years since I was a 7 year old boy. We've got stories about playing tackle football at recess. I got my "weather finger" tackling him in an after school game when we were about 12, I broke it on his knee cap.😊

Have had a bestie that I kidnapped off the football field and took her to a concert in Dallas to see Ratt and Bon Jovi!!! Still my bestie to this day! That was 1984! Been friends since 82… 42 years! 🥰

You made me spill my aloe drink..my last year of high school was 1994,…my friends and I never got call to the principle’s office or get a detention….we were the book worms..so we decided to skipped school for the 1st time.. since we were newbies at this..we got caught before..we got to the double doors. But we got to go free cause we have clean records. We laughed at ourselves on how sorry we were to be caught..then went back to class

I took the drug charges for my buddies cause I was old enough to not get a call home at midnight. Just some weed and mushrooms, got 20 hours community service… we are still good friends today and laugh about that shit…. Ride er die!

LOL reminds me of one time my friend and I (we were partiers) got pulled over by a local cop with a shady history, and he started asking us where he could get some good drugs. My friend looked the cop in the eyes and said, "Your cousin." "You are free to go." LMAO
