I just got this bow for my son's B-day at Walmart since the Bear brave was too small for him, they had it on sale for 154.00. It starts at the max 40 lb draw weight and according to the manual you can adjust the weight down alternating no more than 7 revs each side. The manual says each rev equals about 3 lb adjustment so 3x7=21 and 40lb - 21lb = 19 lb draw weight yet the manual says adjustable from 25 to 40 lb... Am I missing something here? Anyways the Bow at 40 lb feels great so I went back for a second bow for myself, the only bow they had left had a lil scratch so I asked for a 10% discount since I noticed they were clearing things out and wanted to get rid of the bows. The representative gave me more than I asked for. reduced the price down to 86.62! both bows came with quiver, sight and arrow rest and yes, they both came in lost camo color. Best deal ever....

I have two of these bows. As a Girl Scout Leader and a USAA instructor, It is perfect for my girls and me (except for the under 10 group as it is too big for them to hold and sight). The younger girls use mini-Genesis and original Genesis.

It would be great if there was a video on how to set up the sight. I'm an avid DIYer and want to learn how to do it myself.

In my new GenX bow with kit, there is a small black cap looking thing with a hole going through the middle of it. I cannot figure out what I am supposed to do with it or what it is. The cap is maybe 1/3 inch in height and circumference (eye measurement). Help?

That is actually a draw stop. There is a series of holes on the cam where this gets installed, depending on your draw length. We used to pre-install these, but now I believe they are in the accessory pack included with the bow. I don't recall installing any of these recently.

The 10-20 lb. bow that they sell for schools is 10-20 lbs, but because of the variable draw length, adults can shoot it too. Because this one is 25-40 lbs it can also be used for hunting.

I’m considering this for hunting. No issues with 40lb low weight? What weight arrow? I’m hunting with 45/50 trad gear. Want a compound I can shoot instinctively with fingers no sights.
