Men, please keep being real men. We need you to be real men. It's your job to look after us women. Neither sex is 'better', we are just built differently to complement each other. There is an agenda to destroy men, and consequently the family unit. I also couldn't care less what people do, unless they are forcing it onto children, and trying to shove their messed up ideologies down my throat. 😊

Also, we didn't have "anti-bullying campaigns". If you were getting bullied in school it was pretty much considered your problem and you needed to figure out how to deal with it. If you went to an adult, they would usually tell you that you were likely bringing it upon yourself in some way and you needed to learn to stand up for yourself and fight back. All of this molly-coddling of bullying victims that we see today has just made the situation so much worse. Now, of course, there were some instances of bullying that would go too far and you would occasionally need for adults to get involved to stop it before things got really out of hand; but that was pretty rare. Generally, any boy was encouraged to beat the shit out of his bully and they would often end up becoming friends after that.

Speaking of "Real American Men," there's a lot of males today that do not have the knowledge and common skills that the men of older generations used to have. There used to be these guys that were called "the handyman." These fellows used to do odd jobs for people, usually women who lived alone. They used to make a descent living doing things that women who lived alone couldn't do for themselves. They did things like: paint houses, fix a leaky roof, clean chimneys, fix garage doors/install automatic garage door openers, replace or build patios and porches, clean or fix gutters, trim trees, fix or replace broken windows, hang a porch swing, fix/build a fence, plumbing and electrical issues, hang cabinets, instal or fix a screen door, etc. They usually drove an older long bed truck with a camper shell on it and the bed was full of tools and leftover stuff from past jobs. Their office/accounting department was their dashboard. The local hardware stores and lumber yards all knew them by name and often referred them to customers who needed "a handyman." Many men our generation and older know how to do many or all of these things listed above. I hear often from women who live alone that they need a handyman to do tasks for them but cannot seem to find any these days. On Nextdoor.com in my town, there are countless posts of women looking for someone to do jobs they need done. I have people who live in Branson tell me you cannot find anyone to do do odd jobs or home projects and the carpenters they call to do jobs say they are six months to a year before they can get to them. If a man has the knowledge and ability to do the things listed above I think you would be as busy as you wanted to be and get paid for it. For any younger dudes reading this and you want to work for yourself, go to a trade school and learn: electric, plumbing, hvac, and carpentry; buy tools and have a long bed truck so you can haul boards/doors/windows/etc. and start advertising on your local social media sources.

I never heard of the term "toxic masculinity" until several years ago in college. I had a millennial english instructor who was far left and seemed to be in the closet. Quigley Down Under is my favorite western movie ever made. Strong realistic roles provided by all the actors/actress'. Tom Selleck wasn't an invincible super hero HELL he got his ass kicked and was left for dead many times but he never stopped! The point in the movie that really hit me hard(there are many depraved actions that take place in that movie) was where the German man that reloaded his special rifle ammo was holding his dead wife saying "Why" even he didn't quit he wanted to go with Selleck and rid the planet of those murderous bastards as did his son. Hell the villain of the movie wasn't dumb or a coward but he was malicious and short sited. Plus the way Selleck spoke to the British Royal Army is awesome. "We got rid of all our misfits sent them back to England where they belong"!

I feel like everybody, well most people ok, just want to be loved and accepted and a part of a group soo bad, that they will buy into many things just to be special and get what appears to be be love in acceptance. But they forget that a moment before no one they admire even noticed them at all. It was only when they fell into line, then they are permitted to be a part of the group. They seem to be very preoccupied on if they are a bad person or not and they think that everyone in proximity effects their ability to be good (worthy etc). I don’t know if I’m getting my point across cause I’m sleepy. Glad it’s Friday. But anyway, I was in the foster system for a stent and I saw kids trying to fit in. They would change their complete style to do it, would adopt popular opinions, change their diet so they could get special food, ect. Little tweaks here and their to keep others off balance, like black lipstick for example. Wear black lipstick and full punk makeup hair and dress and then walk up to a group of trendies and have a normal conversation with them, watch them struggle a little to treat you normally. Gives them power they haven’t had before. Also, now if you change or transition, you get special protection at work especially. People aren’t even allowed to look at you sideways. Ok, I have spoken way too much.
@GenXThinksАй бұрын
Excellent observations. I tend to agree with you there. People want to fit in, even the parents of the transitioning kids are trying to get recognized and fit in.
@wileyann9449Ай бұрын
@@GenXThinks it’s strange, when did fitting in become a thing 😂 I guess also it’s a control and power thing. The normies have a strong urge to control everyone and everything in their environment. I guess deep down maybe not fitting in is like being exiled/shunned which equals not being able to survive. It’s worrisome to me what kind of society is being created. I hope somehow people will come back from it but I’m not sure society can take any degree of discomfort. Society seems to make moves and adjustments to avoid it, like many living things I guess. (I’m now also being fueled by sugar and extra caffeine) I better get to work 😊

We both have worked in child service, we are both teachers. She is educated family therapaut (I'm Norwegian, my English isn't that good). She works now in elementary school. I work as a high school teacher, mainly in prisons. We have been around a LOT of gen z. Both good abd bad. We agree on one thing, gen x ruined gen z. I agree that Gen X is last generation where men were men. My Gen X dad, uncles, and older cousins is an example of this for me. Hopefully other Gen Xers are passing on their knowledge and experience of how to be a men to their sons, nephews, younger cousins, and grandsons. But, I’ll be honest and say I don’t like how some Gen X men have that cold personality like they’re some robot due to their emotions being turned off. That part of masculinity, I just couldn’t wrap my head around. Though I’m trying to get my dad to open up more by doing fun activities that get him to smile or laugh. That it’s okay to be true to yourself and open around your own son.
@GenXThinksАй бұрын
Men don't open up and become emotional, because that's a bad thing. To put my troubles onto my wife and children would be weak and pathetic. I keep them to myself so that they can feel safe. Everyone wants to be able to live their own lives and be themselves, but they want masculine men to change and be something else. We are who we are, and we should be celebrated for it instead of demonized.
