Hypothetical: Your Government sends $50,000 overseas to save the Gay Whales in Bali. Bob was born in Philadelphia, shovels snow, waits tables, pays bills and taxes as well as childsupport. He eats 5 meals a week, can't afford medical insurance. Bob needs $50k for an operation, he will die without it. He paid $50,000 in taxes last year, the Government never asked the people to use $$$ for a foreign nation. Bob dies. Who failed who, and where? How often does it happen?

Our government is failing the people, and it's happening on a daily basis. People are suffering and dying while billions of our dollars are being laundered overseas.

@GenXThinks Exactly. And who decides to place the needs of other nations before their own people? US citizens taxed until their wallets bleed to build something in Uganda. Who decides the needs of other nations outweigh those affected by Hurricane Milton. It's unnatural, immoral and should be illegal. Theft.

As I drive down the crappy roads and over rusting away bridges I can't help but wonder where all the money we pay in taxes actually goes. I can't understand how anyone can feel that more government is the answer when they can see how things are now. We'd better off with no government compared to the one we have now.

I think more people are perceiving reality now instead of the big lie. Not that things have changed all that much, it has changed, but more accurate perception of the conditions seems to be taking place. And, perception is reality.

@GenXThinks I meant the reason the left backs the status quo... They are dependent on the government/Technocult physically, and emotionally. They literally couldnt feed themselves with every tool, land, seed, fishing gear, and hunting gear item supplied... We are talking about Ginsu knife buyers, people who think you can buy sharp knives.. People who are not dependent know that 98% of all knives come blunt edged from the factory. Its the Rural versus Urban thing, Rural people are more independent and resourceful, Urban people survive by importing rural know how to keep things going, they tend to money manipulation, office work, and sales. The people building things, running equipment, or maintaining the power plants are often rural who grow up actually doing things. Not to worry, the Urban people are crashing their own Civilization, and rural culture always continues. Like the Amish, WW3 wouldnt phase them. Have you listened to Whatifalthists podcast on population collapse? its always the cities....

I’d sum Gen X and our self reliance like this. I feel like my Dad abandoned me off in the woods with a sharp axe and beef jerky at 8 year old and I chopped down all the trees by 18. Millennials , Gen Z etc turn 30 show up to the party and are all “I gots the Rizz and I wanna be a Lumberjack!” And there I am standing in a forest with 34 log cabins and a dog.

Proves one thing. They have no IQ or comprehension. Gen X never knew what it was like to be a kid. Therefore. Gen X became only adults. Something the other generations never can comprehend. Being a responsible adult.

What we're going to find out is something that's been clear for generations. it does not matter what party is in power the economy is still going to get worse, and our taxes are still going to go up. I feel fortunate I only have 15 to 20 years at the most left on this planet so I probably won't have to see America go down in flames. The next couple generations after myself are well and truly effed.

I think we're still a full cycle at least away from starting to vote out the establishment. Still too many righty or lefty voters for the forest sticking to their favorite tree and thinking that will help. We won't be great again with billionaires in charge and we won't save democracy with billionaires in charge, both sides entirely full of shit on this, unfortunately. Best to have a small community able to sustain itself and stand its ground against tyranny by any other name.

Our kids are not self-reliant because of our wealth as a whole and also the technology. They don't have to do anything. They can just hire a person to do it anything. I have seen videos of these kids actually crying because they have to work 25 hours a week...wow! Yes the technology and all that stuff is awesome but you need to go outside and do some stuff. Cut down your own trees, cut your yard, go to the grocery store and buy your produce. I know, crazy concept, right?
