I'm a Gen X Male that was born in 1977 and grew up in the 70's,80's and 90's. As a latch key child I learned how to be self sufficient and problem solve. Back then entertainment was available in many forms. For example, I played video games at the arcade. After that there was a transition to play home consoles like Atari,Nintendo and Sega. Watching videos on a VCR or recording songs played on the radio with a tape player. Millennials can only imagine playing outside and rushing home before the streetlight is turned on.

I think partially, Gen X parents raise the Millennial children somewhat differently, as Gen Xer's were free to roam and competitive, thanks to their hard and always working Boomer parents, wo pretty much left the Gen Xer's to fend for themselves. So like most parents, then want to raise their kids differently than how they were raised. Now we look back and we see that it wasn't bad that we were Lackey kids as it better prepared us to be successful adults.

That doesn't make sense. Whoever decided that those born three years before 2000 were millenneals? People didn't even talk about the milleneum until 2000, when the new milleneum began. The silent generation? Really? The generation that made it through the depression, FOUGHT a world war, saw electricity and indoor plumbing come to most homes as well as the telephone. The generation that started with radio, moved on to TV and it may be hard to believe but every computer, digital device would not have come to pass had this generation not only invent the computer but get it ti the point it could be used in the home. This generation was born to horse and buggy but saw the tremendous strides made in cars and trucks. This generation saw the plane, jet, commercial airlines, space shuttle, satellites. This generation brought antibiotics, safe anesthesia, the end of polio, diphtheria, measles, mumps, rubella, whooping cough, tetanus. This generation saw public school, free education for everyone. They aren't the silent generation just because they are mostly dead. They are the greatest generation. I realize ya'll didn't design the names and this is a fun video so apologies for being a grouchy old Boomer. No, apologies for being grouchy. I know it's difficult but everyone can't be a Boomer. My kids are gen x, my grandkids gen z. I tried, but young 'uns just don't pay attention so they'll just have to tough it out. One day they'll say "I wish I'd listened to my mama" or "I wish Granny was here, she'd know just what to do. Why was Granny so wise?" "Because she was a Boomer, they just don't make 'em like that any more." 👉😁👏👈
