Haha there's an actor I know called Christian Greenway who's been in Hollyoaks and things like that, and your barber looks almost exactly like him. It's uncanny :O 10:44 Yeah 100%. I mean, I got used to doing my own during lockdown because I already had the clippers, and didn't get comfortable enough to go to a barber again until July 2021. And I eventually went not just to take the pressure off me getting it right but because I realised how much I'd missed the human connection. Long story short I was recovering from PTSD and I made this one place my regular place because one guy there was really nice to me, and he helped with my recovery in a huge way. But he's moved to Australia now and I'm back to doing my own fades because anyone else I go to will just have the same problem 🤣

I'm in my 30s as well and my advice is usually for those girl crazy young guys 19-21 who seem to have a different girl every month in the hopes of landing 'the one' or seem to be after some kind of status symbol but I suppose it kind of fits People who are looking around really desperate for a 'relationship' are extremely unlikely to get one or at least a healthy one, because they start off from a place of knowing they have a void but expecting another person to fill it. Basically like thinking "I'll be happy when I get X", treating happiness as something that's more like an object to get, and once you get it, you always have it unless you lose it - when happiness is a state that you have to attain by building your sense of self and maintain it, with these other things you want to get or achieve enhancing it rather than determining it Part of the problem for guys is that it's socially acceptable to do things that are unthinkable for girls - as in having just a partner and expecting them to be his whole support. Girls in general will tend to have lots of friends they will confide in and balance out the support, whereas guys still fear bringing up deeper issues with their friends. So a lot of guys are looking for a relationship thinking that will give them someone to talk to, and they put everything on the partner. Once I started getting comfortable confiding in my friends, including my own struggles with depression and suicidal thoughts, the pressure to get a girlfriend vanished nearly overnight and I'm happy being single. But I'm very atypical and had a slightly female influenced socialisation growing up, so hugging my friends and telling them I love them comes easily for me, whereas other people's experiences are very different. Rambling over lol
