I HATED texting on flip phones I was like nope, you’re nuts, I’m not paying all those fees to tap all all those buttons.

If I had an age to stay at, I would choose 40. You're not too old, you're not too young, you're a little wiser, you still look and feel good, and you have had experiences. I am 72☺

Keep in mind this is set in the early 2000s and 2020s. This is a Gen X in her 20s. Flip phones came out in the mid 2000s. You have about 20 yrs to go. The warranty expires at age 40

Flip phones were actually earlier than that. Had my first pre Y2K.

The best thing about getting older is that you know yourself better and don't care as much about what other people think! I spent so much of my teens and 20s trying to fit in and looking for approval. It's so freeing to not care as much about unimportant things. But I still have many of the same interests I did as a teenager, and lots of new ones. I just joined my first DnD group at age 40! Don't be afraid of getting older. I'm happier now than I was when I was younger.

We all went through it, at 25 oh man what Am I doing with my life💚 30 guess I better start living then 40 is great, you start to get it, 50 even better😊😂 Don't worry about your pelvic floor😂 But you may have to worry about some other down there parts💚 Don't stress, enjoy your life💚❤ I didn't even really pay attention to what she was saying, just to your questions 😂 ✌️🌞💕

Yeah, yet another cruel joke about being a woman that no one, not even doctors, talk or warn you about... Atrophy. We don't just lose calagen and elasticity outwardly. You need to start taking certain care of yourself down there and, "if you don't use it, you lose it."

I'm 65 years old. The hardest time of my entire life is when I turned 25 years old - a quarter century, the difference between being a carefree person and needing to live up to responsibility. I was so depressed! Once I got over 25 all the other years have been super easy!

I sometimes think about my 20's with rose-tinted glasses, but then reality comes back. My wife and I were basically homeless throughout our 20s, couch-surfing through friends' homes without a second thought, really. Then we /were/ homeless, and life hit like a building falling down on us. Haha. At 47, I can honestly say that I like where I'm at now. Mentally, skills-wise, survival-wise... I'm just in an all-around better state than I ever was when I was in my healthier 20s.

Yeah she’s pretty much spot on. I’d love to go back to my 20s but with the knowledge I have now. I’d miss out a few unnecessary steps I took along the way 😂

I can relate to most of this! But like her, I wouldn't go back. The physical stuff she's talking about was exaggerated, so don't let it scare you. Yes, it takes longer to heal and you start being more careful about preventing injuries. But it comes on slowly and by the time you're there you've learned to deal with it. My coworker is 57 and is training for a triathlon. Couldn't be me! lmao. But I promise you can still be fit and do fun things with your body when you're older. 💚💚

It’s something I’ve thought about, being able to pick an age & stick. Being permanently 27 would be ideal. I’d have the best of both tech & non tech worlds, old enough to do pretty much anything, felt there was plenty of time to change direction, still enjoyed clubs while appreciating work and body still able to do anything I wanted it too, not too young or too old for almost anything you might want to do. If it was a permanent world like it was when I was 27, I’d miss things (my iPhone & IPad especially) but the trade off is worth it. The amount of “on line” we had was a perfect balance of appreciating a useful source for knowledge that helps but didn’t make us helpless. The www has so much more bad than good and has almost completely eradicated self sufficiency, an understanding of consequences (risk vs. reward), people skills and the desire for real world adventures.

Pelvic floor exercises are real and they in fact are use to prevent incontinence or frequent urination. Not everyone has this problem but it does become more common the older a person gets and it is more frequent in women than men I think so you may be ok.
@stefs346027 күн бұрын
I developed health problems in my 30s and 40s so I prefer the strong healthy body I had in my 20s but I did not like where I was emotionally then so even with that I don't think I would want to go back. I feel so comfortable in my skin now, I'm happy with the person I am, my self esteem is healthy for the 1st time in my life and while I'm concerned about people's feelings if they have a negative opinion about me it doesn't affect me as much.

I'm 57 now and at 50, most doctors in Australia just stop caring what it is. I've found Osteoporosis in my spine because I asked her to do something about the pain! Sorry mate, I felt the same as you in my 20's 😅
@departmentofredundancydept412129 күн бұрын
Men can do pelvic floor exercises, too. They can benefit from them. Women end up with more issues - hormone changes cause a lot of things. Women who have kids, women in menopause - more likely to have weaker bladder muscles and more likely to leak urine when do many things. For example: laughing, sneezing, jumping, walking, breathing 😂 But seriously, pelvic floor exercises are beneficial for both men and women.

At the age of 19 you're at your peak. When you get to 36 you're considered old even by Texas standards. I didn't start noticing decline to the point of pain like she's talking about until about 38. That's when stupid things like getting up too quickly from somewhere or trying to play with the kids gives an opportunity to hurt yourself in a way that sticks around for a few days.
