"Somebody That I Used to Know" Rings so true. The older you get, the more people in your past that just become somebody that you used to know. It sad but it becomes so hard to maintain ties separated by distance & changing circumstances.
@real23lions Жыл бұрын
I think the reason millennials know more old songs is because we couldn’t choose the songs we wanted to listen so we had to listen to whatever is on. Kinda sucks at first but ultimately awesome as it expands our music knowledge. Most Gen Z would just change the song, millennials got to sit through it.
@dutchmill233 Жыл бұрын
i agree. Millennials have this universal experience in music. We /had/ to know these songs. Gen Z are lucky they were able to curate their music so early in their life. But as a millennial, i have no regrets.

I wouldn't call this generation "sad"! It's just that tastes change, music changes. My dad thought my music taste (60s, 70s & early 80s) was trash, even tho I grew up with and LOVED his music from the 40s & 50s. My mom was classical music and I enjoy that too. Ode to Joy STILL brings tears to my eyes because it reminds me of her. She burned my Black Sabbath album tho. Lol I also enjoy some new music. Tastes change, music changes. I forget who I'm quoting but, "The only constant IS change"

Born in the 90s but know music from the Motown era, love 70s rock, 80s pop, and love stuff from today. I just think its crazy though how they can be like this is so 2000s everything repeats and also you need to listen to some more music diversify your sound. Would love to see them react to like Fleetwood mac, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix type stuff or even earlier like the Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Shirelles.
