I did break up with someone over text, cause they didn't give me the effort of talking or coming to see me in person, if you're not gonna give me the effort I'm not returning the effort, I'm not getting, also it's not a thing I'd always do I think that one was the exception to the no breakup texts rule. Technically I never went through anyone’s phone. My EX was talking to my EX bestie, he didn’t have a cell phone (red flag, he did but he broke each out out of anger) so he used my phone to talk to her & text her. I'll be the target for people who desperately want to say "SICKO" to someone in the comments. I cheated on someone by accident. I was going to tell my ex that I wasn't interested anymore, mainly because I found someone who was much healthier for my life, but the timing was the problem. It was really more so "I should've told them sooner" than legitimate cheating. This happened years ago, and the person I was more interested in (not because the latter was more attractive, but I really needed to drop the former for mental health safety), is another ex of mine, and as of current day I'm single and aroace, as bad romance experiences have taught me not to get in a relationship.
