my parents weren't married when they had me or my sister because they were 100% committed to each other. they got married when i was 9 and i don't think marriage makes a relationship better or makes it last longer. its all about the feelings you have towards each other. also, i loved this video so much and i get so excited when people choose to share such a personal journey with an online community. thats beautiful to watch ❥

My mum is pescatarian for health reasons (red meat doesn't do her high blood pressure or her eczema any favours) but my parents made sure to raise my sister and I eating meat because they believed it was good for us to experience lots of different types of foods. I'd say our dinners are 60-70% vegetarian/pescatarian on any given week, and when we go out to eat we're free to choose whatever we want. My sister prefers vegetarian meals and I prefer meat. In my opinion it's good for us to have experienced both because it gives us experienced palates, and meat free meals can be healthier. You do you!

I agree with the gender neutral thing 100%, just make sure they know that they can be who ever they want and do what they want but I don't think it's still wrong to want to dress up a little girl in a cute dress etc. When they are at an age when they can choose what to wear and do themselves, obviously then you let them choose but before that there's nothing wrong with giving a girl "girl toys" or something.

My parents always let me do what I wanted. I did judo and I did dance when I was little. I played with dolls and toy cars and climbed trees. When my niece was born, my SIL didn't want too many pink clothes, just because she doesn't like pink. My niece loved balls and the colour blue for the first two years of her life. Now she'll be three years old in May and she loves pink, dolls and loves dresses and skirts, because they flow when she dances. So I absolutely agree with you. Let your girl be who she is and she'll be one happy little bug ^_^. Congrats, crazy kids.

You both definitely have the right mindset on marriage and having kids, I mean my mum and dad were never married, they split up when I was 2 and now my dad has gotten married and had children with my step-mum, but I've turned out fine and sort of gotten the best of both worlds. Also I love your opinions on "gender neutrality", having it be not a big deal and just accept them for who they are. Definitely agree with the gender neutral thing. There's so much debate now about it being bad to bring your child up as a girly girl or a boyish boy... really so long as they are happy, healthy and well-cared for who gives a stuff? Think you've approached the marriage thing so maturely too. I'm 25, pregnant with baby no. 2 and have been with my partner for 7 years. We're engaged but not married, but the only difference between us and a married couple is we haven't had a wedding day, wearing wedding rings and have signed a bit of paper! Congratulations!
