No, Gene is simply closer to Linda because he has shown a lot of interest in feminine things and extravagant things, and she's very supportive of it, when Bob a little more reserved. Also, as the only boy, he's receiving a different treatment than his sisters because that's a thing that some mother do with their only sons. And what, boys should stop loving their moms when they reach 5??? Also also, have you ever met 11 yo boys? They're still immature gremlins at that age.
