One of my favourite songs from childhood.I like the extra lines in this version of the song which help to make it clearer. Also the "other " being female in this original, helps separate the "snow bird" from the person, which becomes confused in other versions.

Quite a story. It makes me so sad that this man suffered from terrible depression. I suffer from that terrible disease also. Thankfully, I have a good psychiatrist Who monitors my medication. I am so thankful for that.

Elvis did a nice cover. Anne Murray's was the original that I always loved. She said she didn't write it and is not exactly sure what's it's about. Family Guy the adult cartoon did an episode where she did her own voice. Funny, she has a good sense of humor.

As the Catechism of the Catholic Church states in paragraph 2280, "God [is] the sovereign Master of life.
