mam Endoplasmic reticulum Single membrane heaaa yhaaa fir Double membrane hea...?

and sorry out of topic question k liyaaaa

The membranes comprising the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) are single membranes made up of a double lipid layer with embedded proteins. However, in electron micrographs (and illustrations) of ER, it looks like a “double membrane system” because it is actually a meshwork of tubules and flattened cisterns, so it often appears to be a double membrane system with a space between the two sides of the membrane. Imagine a balloon-like vacuole that is flattened so that there is only a narrow space between the two sides of the balloon.

@@nk4775 Thank-you mam.. But if it is a case then it means Nucleus is also a single membrane hhuwaaaa na mam Q ki Us k Outer and inner membrane Double lipid layer se bana hotaaa heaaa na..?... parr fir V nucleus is considered as Double membrane bound organelle.. Why mam...?

Hi! I am her subscriber just like you! I have seen your question so replied to it. Now coming back to your question, in simple words, when we take example of a balloon, a single flattened balloon is ER, while one smaller balloon inside a big balloon with some space between both is nucleus. In nucleus this space is called intermembrane space. For more clarity you can go through some images of ER as well as nucleus.
