Never in my life have I been in such awe of a personality. I have always been a fan of country music but feel so embarrassed that I have only just discovered Gene.I think its because I refused to listen to any country after 1980,thinking it was too modern.This man is soemthing else.I would just like to roll him up and put him in my pocket and have him as my own personal singer.How can a man hold a note so high so long.

I agree. He is so underrated. I am from Canada as well and we went to see him a couple of years ago in Brantford, Ontario and he was awesome. He put on a great show, sounds the same live and just as good as he did when he first started. After the concert he stood out and met with his fans and signed pictures and cd's. You can tell he has a true love of country music and the fans! Thanks Gene Watson, no one can hold a note the way you do.

Could anyone tell me what year this country music cruise took place ? It would have been a real treat to hear Gene Watson in person. That guy just makes every song sound great. Also would anyone have the full video so we could hear the rest of the group. Mo Pitney is another super singer and he seems to stick to true country.
